:( Incident at Oxford Street and my son is there :(

I just had to go and look on findfriend but Eldest child is home - she works near the Gherkin but some Fridays she works from home.
But now I am fretting about S-I-L as he could be literally anywhere in London ...

They were at Borough market the night before it happened, we were away at the time and we got the "we are both safe" messages, not having a clue as to what was going on as we turn phones off for the first few days when we go on holiday ...

Plenty of nice places for afternoon tea in Woburn. I don't know Bletchley really anymore but if you are after a nice hotel then there are plenty in Milton Keynes. Some nice pubs with rooms in Woburn and a great hotel if you get the right price.
Milton Keynes has everything you could want both day and night so could treat hubby to a snowboard lesson or if you have children go tobogganing. Silverstone happens to be situated next to a lovely spa with very reasonable prices.
Of course you are bordering towards centre parks. If visit to Woburn is done , amp till has quite a bit of history and nice walks with a waitrose and some lovely one off shops to explore. Alternatively head towards Olney which is antique places and artist quarters. Lovely food to be found and a few nice b and bs.
    Hope that helps a bit.
More you look at area there is also the Shuttle worth collect of very early planes.

Why didn't i think of Olney ?work there everyweek:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm hoping to get some clothes that don't fit with mine, trusting the money will be refunded onto a gift card:)
Perhaps that's why they couldn't get it to work when dd1 & I tried to pay for our hot chocolates with them:o Got them free in the end as it took then ages to sort out.:)

what worries me is if I get badly fitting clothes if these then go into the sale you might not get the full value back on a credit voucher....

But it seems like you can only use one e voucher per sale so you need to get something just over the £5 or £3 level and that is not very much in marks

Meanwhile I need to get some shopping, there’s been no opportunity since we got home and we have no milk, fruit, veg etc. Trying to put it off until later in the hope that the Black Friday nonsense will have died down by the time I get there.

Bit of a rant, the flat DD and her BF moved into has got prepaid meters as it was previously a rental property, they phoned when they exchanged but as they were not they owners at that point and something about there was debt on the meters no appointment could be made for moving in day. So they decided to stay with the flat's supplier EDF to get key cards to use the gas and electric when they moved in which then ended up taking their credit to pay some of the previous debt which I think they have got back now. But they have been battling since to get an appointment to get them changed to credit ones.

So today they finally arrive, and they say they can't do the gas one due to it's position, they have taken pictures. So I assumed they would have still got on and done the electric one which is very accessible but no they only do dual appointments.

Ridiculous while they were already there to do work to walk away having done nothing. :( I have a feeling they won't be staying with current supplier after all the palaver.

    Thats ridiculous:mad:
Right tea now will finish catching up after:D
