Good morning all, happy Saturday.0

Lesson for today - always triple check bank details when processing online transfers. I wasn't paying attention and gave myself a real fright sending quite a sum across - only to find it hadn't gone to the intended account .
Forunately when I have traced the number it has gone into the ISA, but could very easily have gone to a closed account. It wouldn't be so bad but it did ask for confirmation and you had to put in a code to confirm, so I am stupid
I am thinking of working through bank accounts and dropping some - all the BOS have dropped to 1.5% now (same as SAN), what were the other recent changes please, as I have lost track?
It may be time to close some down and consolidate in a smaller number of places - it seems daft paying £5 a month to San to get 1.5% if I can get more without paying the fee. I see At0m have a 6 month fix at 1.79% or 12 month fix at 2.05% if you don't need access for a few months, and that beats San and BOS with no hassle.
UPDATE - San downgraded to Every Day (would have closed but decided to keep as a donor account if required in future) - it took 10/15 minutes on the phone. Make sure you have your account statement in front of you as they have loads of questions about payments in/out and when - it is a pain as you cannot simply downgrade online, but could upgrade  stupid systems! Why waste their agent's time for an account with no fee?
What are Elite recommending please?
Many thanks

Morning all - still hot, even doing a quick vaccum of the living room floor left me sweaty this morning.
OH was reading the weather and found the term 'solar noon' - apparently its the point where the sun is at its highest so its different each day - I think I need more reading up
Still the cashback sites are being stingy. We are finally gping to Mr T this morning and then a fruitless visit to the co--op to look for steevia and thats about it.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Very true - the normal run of the mill start of the month/end of the month checks to see if all bills are paid, all direct debits, all bank accounts been serviced - taking about an hour a month but sometimes you have to stop and have a big think about the bigger picture, about longer term and what is really cost effective.
These bank accounts that pay interest on your monthly bills - each seem to give interest on different bills at different rates. Ive looked st these before but our bills are not big enough - especially when you take away the monthly fees.
Sant... - I got a lite account so £750 goes in each month and next day I take it out again - then £200 goes in for the regular savings account. This is a bit of an awkward way of doing it but it suits me. I dont have any direct debits on this account so no fees have been charged although I do have a postive balance for when they do - only had this one a few months.
I set this one up as I have a couple of regular savers maturing this year later for which there seems to be no replacement yet.
Or the newer accounts have poorer interest rates.
Also since Virgin money was bought/taken over I magine there might not be many more regular or e saver regular accounts appearing every few months. As the ongoing ones mature there wont be products to replace them or at least not in the same format.
My bottom line is 2% interest - I dont usually bother with anything less unless there is some other sort of incentive“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Stevia has finished on my cos, best you check before you go searching x
I was about to say its disappeared and then reappeared again twice on mine but looking at my list this morning it now says
Expired
in the top right hand corner!
Never seen this before - offers just usually vanish
So no Co-op visit
That goes with this mornings theme - about stopping a moment and triple checking everything rather than making a mistake“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
