I might be wrong but I don't think if the offer wasn't valid for you that you would be able to click through from your sparks, silly question but the discount does not show until the total at the bottom of the page. Each item shows at the full price in the basket with the discount taken off for everything at the bottom, it did throw me for a second when I first clicked through to the basket and saw the crate of beer still showing £40 but the 50% was taken off ok from the total...
