I've been scouring my cupboards and toiletries drawers for all my Superdrug bargains and anything that would work for my food bank advent calendar. It's feeling really satisfying to know these items are on their 'urgent' list and they'll be far better off being used by someone in need than clogging up my house.
So far I've found toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel and men's and women's deos all for pennies thanks to SD, now I'm going into the attic to look for Christmas crackers. Wish me luck, it's dark up there!
I think that donations to food banks are quite selfless acts of kindness... there are no pats on the back or thanks when you donate, but you feel good inside knowing that somebody will appreciate the gift.
I don't need or want any B&H girt sets, but if I manage another 5 or 6 they will go to a couple of the schemes I support and will be better for them than a £5 donation, useful stuff, but will seem a little bit special for Christmas.0 -

I’ve had a great day.
Work.....that’s inevitable but a sneaky early finish, a hot bath with a glass of Prosecco and tea/ supper out with the family.
New handbag, fabulous Laura Ashley ornamental dish, cashmere jumpers, Molton Brown smellies and lots more surprises....a very special one from a wonderful elite friend:A
A bit of role reversal when DS and DD paid for our meal out. It felt strange:D
Now home to chill with a glass of wine and a catch up with my favourite people:D
So pleased that you're having a great day, doesn't it feel weird when or children are all grown up and pay for things!! Very nice weird though!!0 -
