Just got to pick a good date for the actual place now!
MIL has said they're probably not going to afford to do presents this year as FIL will only be on minimal sick pay or universal credit or whatever he can get. She feels really bad about it, and it will be a bit weird as we've already got them presents, but I tried to explain that DH and I don't mind - it's not like we're expecting Father Christmas to deliver a stocking each after all. She is definitely too nice for her own good though - I suspect she'll consider buying a few things and putting them on credit just so she feels like she's given us some Christmas presents

I've been scouring my cupboards and toiletries drawers for all my Superdrug bargains and anything that would work for my food bank advent calendar. It's feeling really satisfying to know these items are on their 'urgent' list and they'll be far better off being used by someone in need than clogging up my house.
So far I've found toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel and men's and women's deos all for pennies thanks to SD, now I'm going into the attic to look for Christmas crackers. Wish me luck, it's dark up there!
I was going into our Mr T today anyway so I always try and get a bag together for food bank collection. Our SD never has reduced to clears but I managed to fiind enough bits by turning out cupboards for 2 bags. I got some sucking sweets for 20p from Sainsburys which were most peculiar so the extra bags went in and 3 chocolate Angel Delights - also 20p but in reality its decades since anyone eat Angel Delight so better thst they are passed along.
Our collection point was about 90% full, by the weekend it would be overflowing again so I messaged our local group co ordinater and she said it had only been emptied on Monday!
Ive been trying not to do any more charity bags until I've got Chridtmas fully sorted but a bag is filling itself again ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. 3 colours - cream, brown and grey - I wonder how long before you can collect from the shop - we have a lakeland but only go in that direction about once a month“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
