Personally I would imagine the old laminate might fracture, causing the problem you are trying to avoid.

Have you got a carpet shop nearby? We have one that often sells off samples of carpet, you know the ones out of the books? Might be worth a look? Or maybe look on freecycle?

Good morning all, what a grey day.

Have to mow the lawns sometime. Not sure if that will happen today, hoping to head to a car boot this morning, need to get a "holiday home" cage for the birds, the one we have is too big and heavy to get in the car, need to have one we can get in the car for when we go on holiday so we can take them to our friends, also could do with a lighter cage to put them out on the patio.
