Really? I was going to post a 'thank you' after catching up as I ordered these after your very useful post -- thank you. It makes sense of why bulbs were supposed to be worth over £100. Can you install it yourself? Mind you, I'm late in moving away from BG, so it's probably not worth it for me as I don't intend to stay long with them.

    yep, hive hub included, bulbs @ £19 each, Hub @ £80 a pop :)

Evening all. Been a busy week with work and home life. Barely getting any chance for getting glitches, but still getting the odd thing in Superdrug. 18p for an own brand tube of eye makeup remover :T

Thanks for the Hive deal locarr! I got one, even though I'm technically no longer with BG. Not sure if it's just letting me access my old rewards account when it shouldn't, or whether it's ok because I'm with Sainsbury's now, who are technically still BG...

DH is now making plans to link it up to our Amazon Echo so he'll then be able to control our lights by voice! Boys and their toys :rotfl:

once you have the hub, you don't necessarily have to be with BG!

How do I set up my Hive Hub?

To get started, follow the steps below:

    1. Connect the Ethernet cable to one of the open ports on the back of your broadband router, then connect the power supply into a plug socket.
    2. You'll see a solid green light on the Hub which will then start to flash. The flashing green start up sequence can take anything between 10-30 minutes, so please do not disconnect the Hub during this time.
    3. Once the Hub has a solid green light at the top, with a flashing yellow light below, it is ready to pair with other devices.
    4. Log in to the app or website and enter the Hub ID (this is found on the underside of the Hub).
    5. Click “Go” and your Hub will begin to search for devices.

Follow the on-screen instructions to add your devices.
