An earlier post (I know you will have seen it, but for others)

So Tesco Ingleby Barwick .... Not giving double money back today because a problem with your meal deals was known about.... wrong its still your policy when somebody has gone through the till and paid for something if you have it wrong its double your money back. You would have to stop people going through the till point if you know but otherwise you just cant change your policy to suit yourself!!! I have contacted customer services and they agree.

Savvy will do this better than me, I am sure, but a lawyer would nail this on their use of the phrase 'known about.'

To what extent is it 'known about'?

What exactly constitutes being 'known about'?

    etc etc.

They would then be required to come up with a definition of 'known about' and include it in their future terms and conditions.

OOD HappyD returned to T and refunded ... and a £10 giftcard given for my trouble . Is the £10 giftcard a national policy if they have sold OOD items or a local decision?

Thank you for the nudge to check :).
