Calmer today as at last managed to find out how to change passwords on the Verified By Visa thing that pops up

I now have an idea how they got my not guessable password as I stupidly used it on another account that I recently set up a DD with them...

So today is lighter in mood

Ooops, at least you may have solved that one, hope things are progressing with getting the money back.

I use a rotation of passwords on non-money accounts, but my accounts that involve money are all different and all (I hope) unguessable. I actually got a friend to try and guess one of them one time, after an hour he gave up. I always use at least one punctuation mark in the ones that are important, and creates a lot more possibilities.
