Good morning everyone. Back to work today unfortunately as the sky is blue again - 4th day in a row which is unheard of in the NE.

Love the ice cream puns, they are fab.

Wondering if the Mango and Lychee limited edition Muller would work instead of the donut flavour? The stores that I pass today don't stock the other 2 flavours, does anyone know please?

Re the kitchen gadgets, I absolutely could not live without my griddle pan :D food tastes different cooked on it and uses less oil because of oiling the meat instead of the pan. I dont think i will use anything else to cook things like burgers, steak or chicken breast again :D

My favourite kitchen gadget is my Borner V Slicer aka mandolin.
I use it all the time, brilliant for cutting veg and does wafer thin ham as well as long as the meat is cold.
Mine was a mother's day gift about 10 years ago, although to be fair I did choose it myself.

Great you tube video if anyone is unfamiliar with them.

    Good morning.

For those not wanting to build an igloo with their bricks all is not lost :j
I defrosted mine overnight and as Chrisv said it looked awful, separated etc. Now I know they were free but I'd put about 12 yoghurts in there so I was not throwing it away without trying so into my blender it went and oh my goodness I now have three jugs of delish creamy yoghurt again. I dread to think how this alters the calorific value but if i gain weight this week it will be this not the freixinet or Villa Maria I have consumed over the weekend.
I'm calling into work today for the first time since my op and I have the unfortunate look of someone who has been abroad for a fortnight not someone who is sick  ...hey ho :rotfl:
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all

Kitchen gadgets - just going through the receipts file for putting April 2017 receipts into recycling I found the receipt for the new toaster - a delongi which I think we got with double up ????
We got the toaster because the old version was not working on one side and it was a potential danger.
Actually though we are not toast eaters its only when we have visitors that we give them the option of the full breakfast experience.
But we got the new toaster for Errant son who came home at the end of March 2017 and he eat a lot of toast - even toast for evening snacks. I think cheap stomach filler when he was living away because the evening toast habit soon dropped off.

I was just wondering last night if the toaster could go upstairs onto of the guest room wardrobe for the time being now ..

I've just put the spare iron in the top cupboard above the oven this morning - trying not to look in there as its an electrical appliance graveyard. Even the old toaster not used in a year is in there.

And then there is the wine cooler - like a silver mini fridge cube with a see through glass door. Errant son acquired it while we were away last and its on the study room floor ever since. It would actually sit nicely on the worksurface. But in truth I don't actually need it ...
