Six pack Quavers, Wotsits, Monster Munch Pickled Onion - exactly the same situation. Theoretically £1 vs M but A individual price not bad enough for me. Instead, I am adding Hollands 4 pack frozen Meat Pies 580g to the offline list - £3.20 vs £1.87 - in addition to Cheese & Onion Pies 740g, Minced Beef & Onion Pies 728g, Steak & Kidney Pies 728g and Steak & Kidney Puddings 716g that are already there (until 21/1/18 it seems) and moving Lyons Viscount biscuits 14 pack from Tvs M £1 to the 7 pack version in A - too bad if you have only a T and no A available to you:rotfl: - 55p x2 vs M 2 for £1. Also McVitie's Digestives Cheesecake Biscuits - M have both Lemon and Vanilla on 2 for £1. Could be one of each, 50p each A, vs, I hope any 2 for £1 M. Needs to wait for prices to be updated:rotfl:.
T is going onto £1 offer tomorrow on three of the advent calendars that M has at £1 plus a Mars calendar that isn't in M's current offer. Again, needs to wait at least to another day for the T price to stand a chance of being caught by the APG. M could now extend its offer as T will be going to £1. It gives a bit more time in any event - now shopping vs T over the next week - and opens to include Northern Ireland.
NYCs may be Avs M £1. I am sorry - I am now dealing with several things in the run up to teatime and the evening so unfortunately I have no time to copy out the versions until much later tonight at the earliest so you will have to have a look on msm/m.com or in your M if you want to find which ones should work Avs M before I am able to repost the details I have.0 -
Finally settled down this afternoon having numerous distractions all day, the Christmas shoe boxes are all decoratively wrapped up and ready for packing - next wet November morning - only 7 boxes his year, last year I did 10 but I am never going to top that again.
(As soon as the boxes are delivered I start collecting the contents again so it was November 2016 when I started on this years - all of the freebies and giveaways, every bit of pen, pencil and stationary, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mini soaps, small cuddly toys and a few sweeties to fill the corners up)
We made an odd discovery last year, that OH is actually a very good wrapper of shoe boxes - the list of normal everyday domestic tasks that are beyong his capabilites is vast eg cleaning toilets, making up beds, wiping kitchen sufraces, drawing living room curtains, eating biscuits without a plate ... but he can do the fiddly annoying box wrapping in a very deft and accomplished and almost neat way.
So he does the boxes and I do the lids.
Another big job done“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
If you could seperate the vintage gloves then they could go into the storage box and back in the cupboard for now - might be good for a winters day, to do some listing on ebay :) Done - now in a pretty hat box on top of the wardrobe
But that still leaves 20 pairs of gloves which ammounts to an abnormal glove obsessionYou're probably right!:rotfl:
Half of my shower gel stash is under the stairs so I am thinking it would be logical to move them to be with stuff in the wardrobe shelves. This would then give me another spare drawer in readiness for whatever might glitch next - ideally deodarant or toothpasteThat would be a good move!
Doing the socks and tights yesterday was quite satisfying - there is actually a little space in the basket now so if I come across some jazzy colours in sales I can indugeAnd just being able to put my hand on socks this morning without having to root them out was very time saving. :T:T
I am also using the 'good toiletries' - as you say who else will but us. Using them makes us feel much better about ourselves so why not. I've got the best toiletries in my chest of drawers for personal consumption - boys have free reign of everything else
When my nana died she had so much good stuff that she had 'kept for best' my late mam was the opposite, she would say if dad ever had another wife she wouldn't mind as she had used everything! A friend of mine (who has money.. where I save 50p pieces she 'collects' £50 notes!!) Keeps telling me and our mutual friends to 'use stuff!' she can't, however, bring herself to use a Jo Malone candle that she was given.
I also need to go under the bed again to see if any more streamlining can be done. I got a new mattress in August for the guest bed which is very thick and heavy so now fetching anything out is very labour intensive and involves moving furniture into the corridor and moving the bed into the middle of the room etc - I try and get washing up liquid, fabric conditioner etc out, enough for a month so I dont have to go through this performance too often :)I am trying to make things more accessible, so that I actually remember I have them, and use them.
New spare make up is catergory I've not tackled yet. I did come across a charity in Wales that supplies womens refuges but you have to pay for posting the package yourself but this seems to be the most obvious place to donate to. I have 2 GDs 11 & 13 so if that has to go I think they will be willing recipients! My Dad was the local Chemist so it seems I think I should still have a stock of everything I may, or may not need!
I've got two of those Ikea wooden drawer sets with 6 mini drawers in each so most of the make up stash is neat, might be an area to tackle when I've run out of other sections to tackle.:T
Oddly yesterday I went into the airing cupboard and I found a plastic box with a very random selection of stuff - no idea what it was doing there or why. I tipped the contents up, mostly it was charity bag stuff which made no sense as I tend to put stuff straight into a collection bag. Also some items for cloth recycling which again I usually do as I go along. Then I realised the empty plastic box was familar and it turned out to be the missing bottom drawer of the drawer unit under the stairs - missing for about 5 years  Lol
So 2 more bags to the charity shop today and a wine box of bric a brac in progressI've got 2 charity shop bags too!!
Strangely this sorting/decluttering must be catching, my Grumpy old one decided today to 'sort out' the Tupperware/takeout containers - well that was a bundle of laughs!!0 -
NCG Soup is half price at T till 28th“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

a sure fire way to drive yourself crackers - trying to find lids to fit boxes. I was very tempted to hurl every single box and lid into plastic recycling and just get new ones
And yes decluttering is very catching - often its difficult to know where to start but if someone sorts out the sock basket or the knicker drawer it encourages others - often its the initial inertia, once you have tackled one catergory things flow much better and it leads you on to tackle other areas“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

So we got a 15.30 off 5x60 conditional spend at Mr M. Does anyone else purchase high value items then refund them to get through these offers?I think....0

Oh surprise:rotfl: - the English Provender products that I mentioned yesterday, such as they are on m.com, have now gone down to £1 on there. So, my information of £1 RTC, rather than £1.15 offer that was posted on HUKD, was more accurate. This should *not* work on TBG as it is an RTC in M.
English Provender Co. Sweet Tomato & Chilli Chutney (325g)
[Strike]£1.92[/Strike] £1.00 30.8p / 100g Valid until 21/01/2018
£1.90
Wonder what the Hotdeals OP, who thought they might come back in stock online since the £1.15 offer was valid until 21/1/18, now makes of the £1 price showing instead - with the two allegedly OOS still showing OOS:rotfl:. They are RTC in M.
I don't quite agree with crossed out £1.92 and £1.00 btw, as it is a series of reductions, it seems to me, and £1.15 seems to have been the immediately previous price not £1.92. However, prices instore and online may vary for all I know.
Hooray:j - I now have four versions - the three online and the additional one I found instore - as the one I didn't have is now confirmed as going to £1. I am therefore putting one of them onto Avs M at £1 for possible APG:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::wall::rotfl:.
Mind you, my so-called risky RTCs (but carefully selected from within them;)) do seem to work when I try them lately even if I find them in one of my stores and, because I don't have some of them widely, doubt if they will be in the collection stores but, it turns out, they are (or the couple I tried earlier anyway).
For those wondering why I can write and post all this, but not the NYCs, that is because I would have to retrieve the information on the NYCs from my pages of the list, whereas I can mention the English Provender as I am on the page for them elsewhere and can just write off the top of my head without having to look at something and copy it all out. Right... I've got to end this post... time limits me again:rotfl:.0
