Have to admit, it seems the only thing against these phones is the embedded battery, but OH has pointed out that there has not been too many battery problems lately, there was that Samsung one a while back but that is it. He is encouraging me to go for it with the spec that it has.
Be careful, my sis ordered a phone case from America and it cost over £50 in import fees which were a total shock to her! :eek:curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -

Believe me, I am all over it!
There is one seller that seems to be genuinely in the UK, and does click and collect from Argos, hoping that means that there would be no extra fees!
Pretty sure it would cost me import fees if I ordered it from GearBest as think they are in Hong Kong. The business address on Ebay of this seller is UK as well as location of the goods. Just waiting for a reply from him as to whether it has access to Google Play, ones direct from China do not as China and Google have fallen out.
You do hear some horror stories about unexpected import taxes etc. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Tried using the cushelle vouchers in A this morning and they kept coming up as expired even tho the expiry date isnt till 5th April. SA said she couldnt put it through manually due to it saying expired :mad:0

Have ordered several from China (bang good etc) and never had any problems or been charged import fees- hasn't stopped the kids from dropping and breaking them tho. Some of the China companies also have a European warehouse which means no danger of import fees. Finally sometimes an Amazon seller will do one for a good price - bought DW an Oukitel 4gb/64gb, dual sim, 5.5 fhd, droid 7.1 for 77 recently (normal price 159), it is a brick but then we choose it for the double size battery.
Don't forget almost all these Chinese phones do not have NFC.I think....0 -

Thank you for that.
Have to say I am a dinosaur, I have no intention of using NFC, cannot stand the idea of having all my payment details accessible on a phone! I don't even use the tap and pay on my debit card apart from on the underground! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

So a good day for 88p, of course I did tip at Bella and Nerd.
Did I miss anything exciting frim wuntuu or 00002 over the last few weeks? I glimpsed the Bella Italia £3 breakfasts - they woukd have been good if we'd be in the uk that weekend.
WE got free wuntoo costas on the morning we sailed and the hotol choc bunnies from Westquay Southampton. From Greggs using android pay £3s x 2 for juice, bacon baps, porridge and cheese bacon wraps. Also got our Greggs freebie lucozades and OH got his birthday cake
It was a Tuesday afternoon when we arrived the night before and OH was very keen to go in search of the ooo2 hot chocolates - amazingly we found that Southampton has a brand new Neros“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
