Morning all anyone shopped today? 3 for 2 signs pretty much all down in my a - just asked for Malbec to becscanned and they said def not on 3 for 2 x

As usual when rain is forecast, I have had no rain this morning (and none so far this afternoon and it seems to be dissipating and moving away from where I am now, so probably none for the rest of the day). I have been in an island of dry weather with rain circling around me all morning 15 miles away in either direction. Of course I have missed doing any washing or putting it out today which is annoying. The forecast yesterday was that tomorrow is a "reliably dry day" but there is now some rain showing on the chart and it looks like I am now one of the few places that will get rain tomorrow:(.

Today is reliably dry and tomorrow will be a wash-out.
(I know many people have had rain today and nearly everyone will have dry weather tomorrow. For me however they seem to have got it completely wrong and it is the opposite way around.)

My luck seems to be changing .

I did the annual car insurance search and found a policy that will be cheaper than my renewal after Cashback .

So I took it, then phoned to cancel ... they said they had a loyalty discount not showing on my renewal notice - which saved me another £20 more than if the cashback comes through :cool:.

I have now cancelled the new policy and overall saved £49 on my renewal at just over £200 for the year .

What I still don't understand is, with identical details, how prices can be so significantly different (more) on the insurers site compared to their result on a comparison site, but also if you go through to buy from the comparison site it is invariably not possible to get the quoted price from the results :huh:.
