Thank you for the Jelly Babies Chicks earlier - I bought them on a shop tonight. They were in the seasonal aisle in my store (where else?) and on the bottom shelf, without a SEL:rotfl:. I thought, at 20p for 165g, they would be better than those big cartons (not so big anymore as they have gone from 460g to 400g) that go onto RTC prices in the year. They are better than the 460g cartons (now 400g) as, when we open the cartons, we tend to consume everything in them within a few days, whereas these small 165g bags, for a price that works out cheaper (or nearly as cheap as 50p RTC price on 460g cartons of standard Maynards Jelly Babies that I never found stock for), can be spread throughout the year and less consumed each time. I seem to have done rather well as I got more than half the cost of the shop back and the other items on the shop cost less than the £4+ womble I found:money:.
I had the receipt where they bought a non-comparing Wolf Blass earlier. I now have a receipt where someone bought Jelly Babies less than five minutes before I did. They must have been in the store buying them at the time I was going to the till. But did they buy the correct ones? I can see that the BC number is the same, so they did - although they bought a single pack tonight at £1:rotfl::rotfl:! I had another Jelly Babies, the standard ones, on a receipt from a week ago when they were £1.45 in A and compared against best competitor overall at £1, so the Easter Chicks ones would be the same if their comparison £1 vs 50p T was relevant.
Unfortunately it isn't:(. Lowest difference to a competitor overall on the shop is against S, where this is N/A.
It was nearly against M and compares against £1 there:
1x Maynards Bassetts Jelly Babies Chicks Bag (165g) £1.00 £1.00
Sadly, :(they bought them tonight on a shop with a Nestle Dairy Box and lost everything against M:

I think the Nestle Dairy Box doubled in price on Tuesday or Wednesday in M. It has also been £6 in T and picks that up so the shop gives nothing against T. This shop would have given a voucher vs M had it been bought yesterday and the Dairy Box returned £3 as the items on the shop would have been fairly close in price. Sadly they did the shop tonight:( and it looks like the system has updated. There was nothing that could be done to rescue this receipt as it was checked as soon as it could be when the 2 hours were up. It also comes out more than 10% cheaper everywhere else and thus give nothing. The Easter chicks were obtained for full individual price and not even the comp. against T at 50p for one() bag.
I've already got the Nestle Dairy Box as going to £6 in M on Wednesday and it is one of the items that will be crossed out in my next updating. I may not have mentioned it before - I probably just thought it but didn't post saying it - there was a lot of change in M on Wednesday, for which I was prepared. There will therefore be a lot of alterations to the list to be made.
Although it is irrelevant since the Dairy Box ensured the M comp. didn't matter, as expected, the Heinz 4 pack Chicken Soup does not compare against M even though it is showing at £2 on m.com. It seems to have gone from many stores. I had it a month ago but have been losing it for the last three weeks. This is simply the stores I visited though: I did have it, along with the other two flavours, with quite a lot of stock in one store a few weeks back, although not a store I can visit frequently - it had gone from all stores in one of my sets of stores by then. I have no doubt it is available in M at the price showing online. As regards the stores I could visit more frequently, I was left with the 4 pack soups in just one of them about three weeks ago. These are one of those items that comes into M, usually at the start with stock put out at the fronts of stores, and isn't usually found on the shelves in the aisles. I think the APG collectors only check the aisle shelving, which is the regular aisles that does include the seasonal aisle, but not aisle ends or stock placed at other locations around the store - including items put out very prominently at the front of stores - even though the soups were in the regular aisle place in the one store that had a lot of stock of all three. They have not been in those places for me elsewhere and generally they are not in that location. The one of my regular stores had them in one of the aisles, but not on the shelving, and not with BC SELs but instead an offer label draped over the stock by that late stage and it was an offer label only for one of the flavours (even though all three were there). The following week, I was left, again, with the 4 pack soup in only one of my stores - by this stage, I had a single pack of tomato left and none of the other two. I was nearly no trace on them all. Obviously I have had no trace since - there's probably stock of all of them at the other store that had a lot a few weeks before.
The APG collectors do not have the Chicken flavour. This doesn't mean that Tomato and/or Vegetable could not work, if that is in their stores, probably requiring it to be on the regular aisles and with £2 SEL, but it seems to me likely they will have none. Or they may have one of the flavours, but it is likely just going to be one store and most likely won't be on the main aisles but be somewhere else in the store, as one of those items like the Walker's Stax, the Walkers 175g family pack crisps, or even the Bernard Matthews 140g Turkey Breast Chunks at one stage, that have in the past showed they return N/A for M on the APG.0 -

I now notice that, although the Vimto 2L Cordials have gone up to full price by Wednesday, the one 2L Vimto Remix that M has online is still £1 on m.com and that the APG does have it. This is the item that has not been in my stores apart from a fleeting visit on Monday last week and not seen again ever since. However I am no longer able to visit many different stores so this doesn't suggest it's not out there somewhere as I am not able to go to many other places. Even when I have, I went through a set of 20 stores over a couple of weeks at one stage and didn't have something and yet the APG had it. They have got the Vimto Remix 2L - obviously bigger and better stores than me:rotfl:.
I have had the item from online in any event. However, the prices online are not always reliable as to what the instore price is. one of the Dole Fruit pouches - Pineapple - is showing full price £1.18 on m.com. It was changed to this, in what is now clear was an error, on my list after Monday on the basis that I had a store which had the other varieties in existence, that were £1 showing, but did not have Pineapple and that was showing full price online so I thought Pineapple alone might be full price. I have a store with it on Wednesday, it was showing £1 across them all and Pineapple scanned instore at £1. So that will be reinstated, having been put to full price in error on my list last time. Apologies for my wrongly going to full price! However, I am not sure whether we should have these pouches. As single use plastic that gets chucked away, it would seem very wasteful. I think we ought to be buying tins instead and these would be better and also able to be recycled. You can get the same amount of product in tins and it can be much cheaper. I put the pouches on because this is the offer to which they go. I will also, separately, need to remove the pots, at least one of them, as that is 49p in Poundstretcher so comparison against £1 M is very expensive even if other supermarkets are over £2! These major supermarkets - they are very expensive places sometimes. I think instead of the Dole Pouches, the value range fruit tins would be better purchases, and would save money as they are cheaper, at normal times although glitches on branded tin products from time to time could be the cheapest option.
The Spring Onions are another example maybe of an overpriced A. They were cheaper than 50p in M many months ago but have gone up to 50p where they have settled. They have been much cheaper in Lidl though where they had them at one stage on an offer of 29p - however they have increased in price there since, going up and then back down to not as good as 29p and have probably gone back up again since. 1Kg carrots are 58p in M (a price increase from an offer of 50p before) - Wonky version are 35p - T are on 3 for £1 but on Redmere Farms 1Kg which does not compare - although Lidl are soon to be 29p so, either way, the 60p price in A is not good.
Flat Leaf Parsley does not compare - they do not have weight on them in M - but in any event they are believed to have gone off offer therefore back up in M by Wednesday and are another item to be removed.0 -
