I mentioned this to the lady at the kiosk and she said thatas long as people had £1 in their bank account, they could fill their car, so peeps used it to get fuel before payday.
I do NOT condone this. Just an observation. Of course there would be bank charges if bought more than a couple of days before payday. As debits show on available balance but don't normally come off officially for a couple of days. I suppose it is better than a payday loan. BUT if peeps use this more than once, they should SERIOUSLY look deeper into their finance.
As I said, i do not make any recommendations, just stating what I was told.Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Maybe m's will pick up on Friday. Tomorrow the 25% should kick in on 6. Thanks for trying, it's appreciated.
After seeing this, I don't think they were 3 for £15 in M on Monday. It seems that offer started yesterday - I wasn't going to commit myself yesterday, so my apologies for seeming to ignore someone's post from yesterday that asked when they went on: my collection on Monday was a more incomplete one where I didn't see any 3 for £15 (but that didn't mean that it wasn't there because I often don't take notice of things that are not good M prices in themselves for straight 10% where I don't know about items being in offers at A). It seems we need to wait until Wednesday's information gets into the system much belatedly.
The Freixenet Prosecco is now £12 in M:(. This was also what I had earlier this morning but, given that I had incorrect full price £12 SEL last Wednesday morning and then later in the day I eventually found the real price to be £9, I needed to see another store. It is £12 showing in the other store and has scanned at £12 at the self-service.
It will work against £9 on the APG today, but I expect it to change to £12 for M soon. See what I do there though? To be on the cautious side, if I want old prices, I expect the update to happen very soon and for them to end but, if I want the new prices (such as the 3 for £15 mbuy on the Brancott Estate) I wait and wait and wait as I expect the update to be delayed. So, on the Freixenet, I would certainly shop (and check the receipt) today.
It's possible they could still get £9 today and for it to work until at least into next Tuesday. If they have £9 still showing in half of their stores, and they may have checked early, then they might still get £9. This would be the opposite of some of my stores where I have had £12 showing early but they might have more where they still had £9. However, I expect it to pick up £12 once it updates to today's data as it should be more likely that the price they have is the correct price.0 -
It was Sada fuel I went to.
I have had about £50 in my account and went to self serve and it did authorise £99, didn't think much about it and didn't use than I had in bank.0 -

No different to the age old trick of writing cheques with a zero balance knowing it will take a week or more to clear in many cases. Still the way for many people who struggle financially, even businesses. It's not about how much you have in assets, but how good your cashflow is.
Thinking about it, must be 3-5 years since I last wrote a cheque. Soooo outdated, the sooner they're stopped, the better.0 -

I contacted BeeTee earlier just to check about cancellation costs for landline and broadband in the cooling off period. They claimed no charges apart from what we have used. I double checked again no landline install costs even where the engineer had been and they stated not (despite their tariff guide suggesting otherwise). Great news :cool:. I have kept a copy, obviously, in case I decide to move back to V M as i can see trouble if I go ahead.
Where they appeared more confused was the cancellation/cooling off period. They mentioned I need to cancel by the end of this week as 14 days from ordering (not delivery or install - information during ordering says the later of the these)! I said they were mistaken and quoted their t and cs back to them ... they asked where I got them from :huh:. I drew attention to the order confirmation email ...and they asked me to forward it to them!! Still not convinced, after half an hour of chatting they relented and said they would put a note on my file to avoid any issues if I cancelled next week, before my 14 days are up since install.
I am not filled with confidence when they don't know their own published terms ...

Just to mention, while scenario planning I found out BeeTee line rental only charges are dropping by £7 per month to £11.99 from the first of April, following an Ofcom ruling last year. Existing customers too - but as many people will have broadband too it won't affect the many.

Just to let you know Sainsbobs have reduced 100s of prices on everyday items from today, many many items will be cheaper than Tosco...good comparison maybe..0

Works in the card companies favour too when the actual transaction is below £1.
I make multiple purchases of under 10p, particularly at As/other but each one will initially be recorded at £1 (card dependent). Not a problem for me, but could be for some if close to limits.0
