Gosh with all the turmoil that's been going on in recent months I had forgotten its my Ruby wedding anniversary in 10 days time-:eek:
and no plans:( nothing has even been thought of...oh dear:(
Still plenty of time for a little (or big :)) ruby and diamond ring.
    Thanks :T

A couple of £1 coupons also arrived with the local newspaper earlier :)

I got those too valid for a while yet as Well.

Good morning, I managed a very wobbly trip around As yesterday. I wanted wb red with ellie14s apgs. I would have been fine until my mother discovered a rail of Easter baby clothes, she is buying them for dgd birthday. They are worth looking out for, they're on a separate stand and each item is £6 including the £12 dresses. She has spent the last three weeks telling me not to lift, st and, do to much and then had me round As for 45 minutes  anyway she went to the till first and the sa was a lovely girl. Not sure how They got onto the subject but she was telling my mum how she hates being centre of attention and anyone looking at her.....I'm thinking you're gonna just love me then when my apgs won't scan:rotfl: and right enough they wouldn't. She was so lovely and didn't stop saying sorry the whole time, as we finished I apologised and said I promise I won't come back and she said oh no dont worry you can come to my till anytime. Well it would be rude not too wouldn't it :rotfl: ok love see you Tuesday :rotfl:

Hillbilly Such a shame that you have had so much to deal with but 10 days is more than enough time to pull something together, even if its not a huge party , but your nearest and dearest and a favourite meal in or out

We celebrated ours very quietly at home , because of children's allergies but it was lovely

My recommendation splurge out you deserve it

Edit just seen your post re the wedding day :) Don t think the youngsters do that now , no memories like ours, We had no honeymoon as such Two days in a tiny caravan at the seaside then back to stay with my mother until we got a council house OMG the very thought of it now She did not like or speak much to DH

We managed to miss celebrating our silver, we were flat broke at the time, so made up for it the following year and went on holiday to Egypt, ended up with a very swish suite after the cruise as our travel agent knows quite a few people :D

I actually got married on easter Saturday in 1978, but this year 25th march is the week before easter.

we will probably have a bottle of wine and a take away or something with minimal cooking just the 2 of us....and if football is on tv DH will watch that....
we couldn't afford a honeymoon and we were back to work on the Monday so no real celebrations..but after we got married and had the wedding breakfast we went back to our home where HE....mr romantic !!! watched match of the day!!!
As HE was watching tv we heard a noise outside..opened the door and there were our friends going round our house tie it up with white loo paper ( couldn't afford ribbon)...they then came in for a glass of sherry ..but that's been memorable and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

After we got married (more than 33 years ago  ) we stayed at the Roundabout Hotel in East Grinstead for a few days before we flew out to Gran Canaria. Nice romantic room with a four poster etc, on the Sunday OH decided to watch the Australian Grand Prix :rotfl::rotfl:
