They are now the internet is back on. I knew we were reliant on it, but you just don't notice how much you use it each day until it is gone

In my store, although some are marked as 3 for 2 on the aisle end (perhaps a tactic to get people to buy more of them as they see items on there and at eye-level), many of the ones on 3 for 2 are showing the individual price and just the word "Offer" in the main wine aisle. People are therefore likely to buy them because of the word "Offer" but will be likely to buy only one bottle as they will think the individual price is an offer price (and all "offers" must be good, right?) and will be unlikely to realise what the offer is, how many they need to buy.
For me, they were just showing the word "Offer" on the labels and that's how I identified they were on 3 for 2 (assuming I can even trust SELs:rotfl:).
Afaik, there won't be any non-alcoholic wines on 3 for 2 against M as all of them were identified that were potential Avs M and we already know about all of them.
It's amazing - you just need to put the word "Offer", or a red or yellow label, onto the shelf and that item will sell far more. It'll do so even if the product yesterday was on much lower price and has been increased price today but with the new price in nice large letters on a coloured label that stands out from the shelf, especially if you put a protruding ticket showing the price coming out of the shelf and anything that attracts attention to the item. Similarly, if an item has gone onto real cheap RTC but there was a SEL for another item on RTC that has sold out, you will be fine finding the item that doesn't have the SEL as people generally will not buy it. They will think the only item on RTC is the one with the SEL that isn't in stock.0 -

Don't fret hillbilly.......a family dinner would be fab ....it doesn't have to be a huge affair
I actually got married on easter Saturday in 1978, but this year 25th march is the week before easter.
we will probably have a bottle of wine and a take away or something with minimal cooking just the 2 of us....and if football is on tv DH will watch that....
we couldn't afford a honeymoon and we were back to work on the Monday so no real celebrations..but after we got married and had the wedding breakfast we went back to our home where HE....mr romantic !!! watched match of the day!!!
As HE was watching tv we heard a noise outside..opened the door and there were our friends going round our house tie it up with white loo paper ( couldn't afford ribbon)...they then came in for a glass of sherry ..but that's been memorable and I wouldn't have had it any other way.0 -
