Elite 11+ shopping and chat thread part 2½

My birthday has been postponed due to severe lack of interest. Spent the day in bed reading due to this nasty lurgy but had nice birthday videos for both my granddaughters.
Mum insisted on walking round even though I told her not to. She did venture upstairs to give me my card and left a cake in the kitchen. Don't want either her or step dad to catch this.
I have chatted on text to N who is also still laid up feeling rough.
Trying not to read too much as off to Cape Verde over easter and usually manage a book a day although dd and dgd are joining us for the long easter weekend so I expect I will not need as much reading matter as normal.

Have tickets for Friday's Post Modern Jukebox in northampton but know with my other problems I will not be well enough so trying to sell them on. Lovely VIP tickets as well.Birthday present from dd.

My memory of Cape Verde is walking down a road and seeing them building apartments. There was a chap in an open fronted cube balancing on a few bricks to reach the ceiling. No scaffolding, nothing in front of the cube to stop him falling, no nothing. Suffice to say they don't do 'elf and safety :rotfl::rotfl:
