My worst nightmare, being stuck in an airport, and 2 toddlers, I wish them all the luck.
I remember being stuck at Stansted for about 10 hours due to snow and plane cancelled with GS when he was about 3...hes 17 on Saturday ....but he was really good, but yes I don't envy them especially with a looong plane journey ahead of them0 -

Been busy for quite a few days and just sifting through LOADS of emails. My Virgin Mobile bill I opened a short time ago, should be £18pm, it's states it is £67.50  Then checked last month's, I know I should check every one, charge was £40+
Looked at the breakdown and been charged for "Premium Texts" two different references 700146371 & 700146086.
Checked internet, some sites state this is a scam and spurious by persons who have got your telephone number.
Called Virgin to query it. Put on hold for a while and they came back telling me it was for some sort of internet payment service.
1/ Told them that I did not authorise it.
2/They said it was between me and the company.
3/Told them, no, it is between me and Virgin as they are the ones demanding payment and saying I owe them. Also they would pursue payment if I didn't pay.
4. Was told it was me and the company.
GO BACK TO START AND DO AGAIN FOR ABOUT 6 TIMES.
Finally I was told snottily that I was repeating myself, I agreed and have said I will report this fraud to police in the morning. Still no joy.
I will need to do everything in paper with me showing attempts to get this cancelled a few times before it then goes criminal. Will sent a "snotty letter" telling them that I will be charging per correspondence with them.
From checking online it looks like this is common and the consumer does not seem to have any protection. Will look into it when I have enough free time.
Will look more at this:

Do we have a chicken glitch?
Afternoon peeps.
Not going to say good. :eek:Afternoon...
no more snow today, but biting winds, so I haven't ventured out, but hope those who have are safe.
Its days like today when im pleased im not working on community as part of the DN team..a colleague posted a pic on fb of the roads, snowy, rural and cold.
..But im anxious about my drive to London on sunday to commence my babysitting duties, that's if my DS and family are home at present they are in transit and stuck at Singapore airport ...they flew from manila to Singapore and that's as far as they can go for at least 24 hours as the onward flight to heathrow was cancelled...
Changi is a lovely airport from what I can remember from 7 years ago..but when you have 2 toddlers in tow any delay especially the middle of the night (for them) is not good !!!!DS and family have now arrived at a hotel for overnight hoping the flight tomorrows not cancelled

Thanks QoC
yes £58.99 Westminster gives you everything including a completer medallion not offered by RM
On RM I paid £61.90 for the 26 coins (£2 each) & an album (£9.90) & free P&P.
If you live near Llantrisant you can buy them in their shop.
Also Crown Post offices are selling them but they are £4 each
Thank you.
I got them from Westminster.
Royal mint have run out of the album already.0 -

Bit overwhelmed at the end though, speeches and presentation from senior Managers with £400 of Center Parcs Vouchers (my choice but I didn't expect as much).
Also received Gifts from Colleagues in my Dept, another from the HR Team and also one from the Managers. A Huge Cake with pictures of me on various cruises, Retirement balloon etc.
I have been discussing recently with the Senior Site Manager about doing occasional shifts when they are short-staffed and have been offered a zero-hours contract, which suits me as an informal arrangement like this means I can take holidays whenever I want. More importantly I can still use the Staff Shop if still employed!
(We have sister companies making Pizza, Ready Meals, Breads, Soups & Dips, Cream Cakes etc as well as our own Fruit, Salads, Stir-Fry etc):)
-7 when I came home but no more snow.
Got a lot of Thank-Yous to write now
