This has reminded me that there is a very heavy goods train that rumbled through in the middle of the night earlier this week which was a bit like the deep rumbling noises elephant make that vibrate through the earth - and it make the entire house shake - there is a road and allotments between us and the railway line so quite a distance, not a main line just a little branch.

This has been mentioned a couple of times but dw and I never get it - we have 2 free happy downs each again - must be because we eat eggs but don't drink....

I get the Happy Downs but never the free eggs - Errant son drinks them so that's fine, a few more free ones are always useful.

Also I am getting quite close now to the twenty pound target for withdrawing again

The only annoyance is that the Happy Downs were added to the list just before we were setting off this morning and Mr T is a different direction to where we were going :(

But at least it meant I also got
    Barilla pasta GJ
    LLoyd grossman pasta sauce GJ
    Aunt Bessie apple pie TCB

a few points added on although I don't know why I am bothering now and I also got the new magazine - my store still has a full display of the out of date ones as well

Buying giftcards can be useful for deferring spending (I bought A before Christmas), also found car tax renewal accepted Amex.

Premier Inn also accept Amex now - I seem to think I had to pay with the debit card before now.

    And Aldi

    Not had mine yet :(

:rotfl::rotfl:I knew what it was when my glass cabinet and the the glasses inside started rattling. My cat was in one room, MG was upstairs and my backside was in the sofa, nowhere near the cabinet

Mhoc, you wouldn't think that we have that many would you?

We were all sitting on the sofa, having a lazy day, dogs jump up and was looking round, as much to say "what's that!!" :rotfl:

Please can I ask has anyone had the Amex Aldi offer and activated it?
And have you spent your £10 in Aldi?
And has your £5 been credited onto your account?
Usually when I've had offers on the purple Amex nectar card eg Superdrug and the Post Office and the small shops ets the £5 credit has been added almost straight away, def overnight.

I did my shop on Friday - £11 odd and so far nothing credited but does the Amex gold reward card work in a slower fashion??
