Hi Sarah was it you who did the markets in Mold or was it someone else lol0
-
Mission accomplished - first free morning of the week so I decided to tackle the Christmas shoe boxes - the boxes themselves already wrapped as we did this last week on a wet afternoon.
I'd also gathered all the bits together I've been collecting all year into 3 plastic crates so it was all systems go.
Firstly though I had to figure out where to take them when they were full - On the list of drop off places on the website there was no mention of the childrens nursery we took them to last year which was going to be problematical. On the off chance I rang them up and they were actually a drop off point - its literally round the corner from us with parking right outside so much easier then going into town.
Then when I'd just about finished I thought I'd put in down the sides some of the postcards I've collected, the postcard collection boxes were easy to find but I had to find nice scenic ones with no words on, just nice pictures. In doing so I came across another shelf of flotsam and jetsam that needs sorting, more stuff to go straight into recycling but also a useful notebook that went into the boxes.
So in all 3 hours to fill 7 boxes  - but at least its all done and dropped off now.
Def needed the OOOO2 hot chocolate this afternoon and also dropped another bric a brac box off at the charity shop.
So in total about 5 wine boxes full of sods, odds and even odders out of the house already this week - 3 boxes of christmas shoe box stuff, one charity bric a brac and I've culled my Christmas card collection in half - and its only Tuesday“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Good Afternoon :hello:

Em...I think I'm going to load it all up this evening....no doubt I will be back at some point and end up being a fountain of questions.....
but if others can do it,I have to give it a go too.
BIG Compliment time to you....you sound just like my DS who is always saying...."What else do you need to know......"
One half of my brain wants to run around shrieking that contactless payments are some sort of very bad black magicso I have to shut it down and ignore it.
If I can get the hang of android pay then any half wit can :rotfl:
My main problem was over keenness once I had worked it out.
Today though when we went through Morrisons self scan I was watching the time and making sure it was over a minite between transactions - and it all worked beautifully.
We did the big shop first in Aldi which only resulted in a prize draw
Then across to Morrisons - 4 seperate onions, tinned cat food for our walk by cat and 4 packs of reduced mini-packs of fudges (70p each so half price, not much of a bargain but if it curtails OHs biscuit obsession then at least its something)
SO 9 envelopes gave me
£3 Greggs
£5 Marks
£5 Marks
£10 dining card
5 prize draws
The dining card seems to be usable in places like Stonehouse - I think there is a signing up bonus if you register with their website but I also seem to think they are on visaoffers as well if I pay the rest of my bill with my card. Not sure if the sign up bonus would work with the android pay voucher - have to see
I can feel an excel chart coming on here ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I also think if you are at self scan or even if you go to a manned till for your first attempt at android pay if you choose one of the very gorgeous young students and ask for their assistance then I am sure they would be very happy to help - in my case it might be the only time in a day, apart from talking to you lot of course
, when I can chat up someone who is not over 60 or a cat :rotfl:
Android pay is on OHs phone so I have to take him with me so far and this will get annoying very shortly so I need to get the confidence to do a solo expedition armed with his phone“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Does anyone know of a list of Black Friday deals? I'm hoping to get OH a Nest thermostat for Xmas but they are expensive
Just trying to work out the best possible price!
Thanks
I had to look up what they were - very specialised and very expensive - but at least your OH has a specific item he wants.
John Lewis are supposed to price match if you can find cheaper and they have long guarantees - its just finding the cheaper place. Google said screwfix but I dont think they actually do the right brand.
Otherwise you could try camelcamelcamel which will notify you when an item reaches your desired price thresh hold“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Well, I eventually found the
Dove Christmas Tree or Bauble Gift Sets works out 58p each
I didnt think they were worth 58p:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Good morning.
((Lejc)) do you have the closure you needed, if so don't be forced into the situation. You don't want to haunt the rest of your life with his issues. It is ok to walk away, you owe him nothing. You are very delicate anyway at the moment, there are times in life were you have to ignore other people and do what is right for you and yours.
Where did you see the film Di ?0 -
