I am petrified of running out. There is a pack of 9 hidden away and I keep it that way...

I am jealous... we are now officially out of loo roll. OH just had words with DS2 about him being selfish using the 1/4 of a roll....... little does he know I have a few squares hidden!

I'm really pleased you are not late home. You could always tell them that when you are there it is book time?

Tried that one. Didn't work. Did however manage to get granddaughter snuggled on the sofa reading a few books though, before bed, was hoping to do so at bedtime though but they were insistent it had to be the DVD mummy said.

May well try to change rules a bit more next time, really can't quite get used to the "modern" way of doing things.

Thanks Seren, I shall be needing bin liners at some point. Not sure about buying the 5p carrier bags TM, won't they have holes in them?

At the moment I am using as bin liners all the bags which come through my front door asking me to fill them with stuff. This despite a notice saying no junk mail. Most of them have little holes in them but I can't bear just to bin them as it seems very environmentally unfriendly. So I block them with sellotape! Mad, I know...

I have had a happy day sorting stuff in the loft and it looks so tidy. I am very pleased with it. But need to go to bed now. Night all.

You don't fancy a job tomorrow do you Picasso? :rotfl:

I spent most of the day stashing, was in the upstairs glory hole and I mean "in" and the stuff I had left piled on the left side of me actually fell down on to me and outside the cupboard. Was bit difficult backing out of the cupboard.

I have put loads away finding homes for all the new stuff after quite a few games of tetris but you wouldn't think so. :o Round 2 tomorrow....

I find those by a very useful, mostly keep them in my bike bag so if I buy anything big and it's raining I can still fasten it to the back, also useful for storage of stocking presents. If they will put things through the letter box when asked not to then I shall take it as a gift.

Had a go at someone once, we are in a no cold callers area, you can find out online where they are and you were meant to avoid them, had a team of charity collectors around trying to get us to sign up for Direct debits, I pointed out that it was a no cold callers area and they had the cheek to say it didn't apply to charities:eek: If I want to give to a charity it will be of my choosing and not by direct debit, and if they try to pressure me, as these were, they will be the LAST one i consider.

Teeny has a bedtime story or 2 or 3 if she usually picks a pile of books.

We always had the rule no tv in the bedrooms and so far DD1 and her BF have been the same, hope it lasts.

Glad no late night for you this time E. :)

When I babysit I usually end up going to bed the same time as Teeny so it doesn't really matter what time they get in. I was over the moon last time that she let Nanny have her bed and she was happy to sleep on her little airbed. :A

When they first moved in and I was helping I slept on the sofa because I didn't want Teeny not to have the first experience of sleeping in the single bed in her new flat. She did miss the cot bed after a few weeks and asked for it back. :rotfl: It is at granny's house now for sleepovers, no room here. :o

Have the icons at the bottom of the posts changed or am I just tired? And the 60 second rule seems to have gone away again. :)

I was a great believer in bedtime reading.

Think I stopped after the first Harry Potter....that was a looooooong read:D

Bedtime was always a good time for them to mull over the days events....a safe and special place.....well apart from the mouse fiasco.

    That wasn’t good:o
