Not a good day Another car crash Not my fault. Woman decided not to turn into the filter which she was in. Fortunately there was CCTV to prove she was at fault Police attended as they were passing

    So safe and sound again

Oh mrsmac. You are in the wars as my old gran used to say:o

Safe and sound exactly. That’s the main thing:T:T

Afternoon all, lots of catching up to do. Been busy, but in a nice way. Friends round for dinner last night (over due since last year!) Had a bit of a Greek thing going, made kleftiko and Greek salad, opened that bottle of Greek wine that came in in the last twine mystery box, blinking heck, didn't think you could make a wine that sweet!!
I am following my friends advice to 'use' everything (or bin it). I don't do the binning well, so we used the Portmerrion dinner service, (the wedding present one!) my nanna's embroidered linen table cloth and some old silver cutlery!!
Within 10 mins red wine on cloth , but I what the heck.. it's in the washer now, but better than being in the cupboard for another 20 years!
Had a great night and not too expensive, lots of rtcs and enough left over for today's meals.
Unfortunately Grumpy Knickers decided to brag about how cheap my (1) box of Adnam's beers were and gave half of them away to said friend!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Totally agree with your sentiments pippo. I use my best wine glasses all the time now.....well not in January obviously:rotfl:

Just like you....at New Year, I used a vintage table cloth and left it there for days. It was so pretty , I just didn’t want to take it off:)

Just glossing through the TV mag and spots this

    ITV Monday at 8pm, includes:

"how to do your weekly shop for less than £2 , Martin Lewis Money Show"

Should be interesting. I am wondering if it is a follow-on from the story in this week's MSE newsletter

    .
Omg I hope not as i remember only too well Black Friday and coupons being stopped in tesco

Just checked my BT and Sky planners and it says the same on there so have added it to my recordings as i am intrigued to know how I can do my weekly shop for less than £2

    bloody edit disappeared

edited, any idea of the shelf life please elite. i assume it may be shorter than the tins

I’ve had a bottle open for ages zippy but I keep it in the fridge. To be honest the stuff in the tins can go a bit “ stale “ too quickly for my liking.

  • Thanks Chris and anon, so I’m best targeting Morribobs ?

    X6 nivea soft 200ml
    X3 primula soft cheese

Then fillers as well, what APG would that generate, they are £3.89 in sada but £2.00 in morribobs, the tube cheese is £1.45 in mr a but £1.00 in mr m.

    Any help appreciated.

I think wombling is going to be mentioned on the money show tomorrow, so get round the car parks and maybe even break the rules, as it’s either gonna disappear or get more popular, fingers crossed it’s maybe just woopsie o’clock that’s mentioned and a few coupons, but if I hear discarded receipts, I will hit something, or mr postcode lottery himself :p
  • Has anyone else's forum suddenly gone to the new style? I had it set on old style, don't like this
