    A genuine question.

What do the gritters do when they are not gritting?

There must be a huge amount of money tied up in them by local councils.

Do they have a summer job? Or do they stand idle for the majority of the year?

Some trucks are convertible so have different kit to attach to the backs for different jobs (like road maintenance). The drivers will just work on road repairs and other jobs I would think?

The plan had always been to do a loft conversion then a very sensible friend said why pay that much money for the 4 times a year you need it! Hence the expensive sofa bed etc ( it will do me when I can't manage the stairs anymore!), but, after 8 years of putting off we will have to get our @rses into gear and plaster and decorate!

Your friend sounds sensible. Our loft is converted, and is not just a slightly nicer place to store things from Asda!

I know you're no longer in A by the belated time I now see your post, but many of the other Walkers standard 6 packs go against S at £1. Avoid "obscure" ones like Pickled Onion (N/A) and pick something like Cheese & Onion, Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar or the Classic Variety pack. Although I can see here that S also have Marmite, Roast Chicken, Prawn Cocktail, Beef & Onion [A doesn't seem to have], Worcester Sauce... Worcester Sauce eh? Wish I'd known about that earlier as it is N/A against M. Might have to go and do another shop now with Muller Corners and 3 packs of crisps:rotfl:.

EDIT: I can't see any Baked Fusions at all on a.com - are they all triggers (if other flavours of them are available in a.com)?

thanks savvy, I will go today and get some. OH will be happy he loved Walkers C&O and S&V. x

    Yes I’m joking:rotfl::rotfl:

More yoghurts, crisps and cheap protein if I can find any:D

Cheap protein.... I think I have missed reading this one.

Then again I have got myself all confused with the VP system...

I met a dustbin man that did gritting. He loved it as when they were expecting to have to work during the night, he would have the day off work and then would often not have to go out on the night.

my boy is going Haymarket to Waverley virgin train leaving at 08:51 on Monday 0.75p :)

My boy could travel with yours but it keeps saying that it's travel with CrossCountry, and it does not say VT.

    Would that matter?

ETA No worries, my adventurous child has changed his mind and is now going B/Ham New St to B/Ham Intl instead.:D

Did anyone watch Eastenders last night?

I wonder why they didn't go down the organ donation route?

Anyway - it was touching :A

I'm sure it must be like this. Reminds me of a bloke I knew in America who repaired boilers and heaters in the winter and air conditioners in the summer. Had different business cards for each season.

I used to live near a caff that was a greasy spoon all day and then in the evening a different menu went up and it was a Chinese takeaway.:)
