Mhoc in my local M&S today they were going through all the sale rails first thing reducing some things further. I noticed that some things had reduced online further too and other things hadn't.

A jumper I bought the other day for £10.39 was now another couple pound off, £8.39. RRP was £35 so I still had a bargain but when did the 70% start being non returnable or has it always been?, I thought it was just when they hit managers reductions, when the tat that's left goes to silly prices like my 2 fantastic handbags the other year 99p each. :D

There is still so much stock left down here, I don't think I have ever seen so much in the sale at this stage, bet they had record returns after xmas. Not surprised with some of the styles this year they are truly awful. :o

When I was looking for the 38p handwashes in Sada today, I noticed there was some of their own shower gels on rollback down to 33p from 50p. I got some zesty ones in a green bottle but there was four flavours altogether. Also some bubble baths were down to 49p I think from 70pish.

Just ignore this post as it will only have you buying items you were never thinking of buying:rotfl:.

I noticed Bird's Brandy Sauce was now 50p in A and I assume Rum Sauce is also somewhere at 50p. We have had cheaper prices before though (19p/17p?) in M last year.

This (frozen sausages) is on reduction at £1 instore; it looks like that's why it's showing "Unavailable" on a.com:

    https://groceries.asda.com/product/sausages/asda-extra-special-6-classic-pork-gluten-free-sausages/910003069495

It doesn't show as "reduced" on the receipt but just says £1 for me. Of course I should not have gone for what may be a first reduction. There's another version as well, not just Pork. We had virtually no meals left as I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the frozen Quorn mbuy to disappear online and refusing to buy them until it does so. Probably spending more now on anything else I buy whilst refusing to buy Quorn:(. I finally had to give in to the frozen sprouts (now looking v.expensive compared to the festive fresh veg. earlier), only to find that, as is often the case, A aren't 10% cheaper than a least one competitor:mad:. I ended up doing an unnecessary full shop against W - would have been good if I'd found this the day before as I could have put it with Toblerone:(:

5 items on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda waitrose
    1x Ryvita Multigrain Crispbread (250g) £1.00 £0.64
    1x ASDA Smart Price Processed Peas (300g) £0.25 N/A
1x ASDA Farm Stores Apples (Colour and Variety may vary) (500g) £0.80 N/A
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Unwashed Sliced Curly Kale (200g) £0.50 N/A
    1x Nestle Shredded Wheat Bitesize (750g) £3.18 £1.64
    1x ASDA Semi Skimmed Milk (6pt) £1.48 £1.50
1x ASDA Extra Special 6 Classic Pork Gluten Free Sausages (400g) £1.00 N/A
    1x Ryvita Sesame Crispbread (250g) £1.00 £0.64
1x ASDA Frozen for Freshness Brussels Sprouts (1kg) £0.95 £1.00
Comparison total (compared products only) £7.61 £5.42
    +£2.19 cheaper

I wanted two packs of sprouts, as I thought I'm never doing to do another shop vs W anytime soon, but my store only had one left:( - and pointless to travel to another store just to save 5p. So I stuck with the one pack and bought the sausages - I took a risk on those and bought them as I wasn't sure what W's equivalent to Extra Special would be - they are N/A against anywhere. They may not appear on the comparison next time but I didn't need them there anyway on my shop as same outcome whether they showed on the APG or not.

Lost on the SP Peas as they are very slightly glitching against M again:
    1x ASDA Smart Price Processed Peas (300g) £0.25 £0.23:(

Look at T's price now on the apples:eek::
1x ASDA Farm Stores Apples (Colour and Variety may vary) (500g) £0.80 £0.95

Typical now A is lower price, the Curly Kale is picking up M - I haven't seen that before but now only good against W as higher prices elsewhere. Should have bought frozen kale (825g) at £1 in M.

This is what happens when I am taking a break away from M: my meals were on another shop, against T, only to find that M was a penny cheaper:(:rotfl:. I bought Muller Corners on another shop vs S, but only just enough - despite all those different flavours online, I found my store had a limited range left.

It's no good taking a break away is it? This is the first shop I've done for a while as, eventually, I had to buy something due to having next to nowt in the house - and I'm out of touch. I think I've gone wrong on the milk again:(. 2 litres now apparently 2 for £1.50 in Farmfoods.

That is it....a muff :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I thought it was a rude word.... but could not think of anything other than a V*g***!

Every September we would get new uniform, winter clothes, coat, hat and muff!

It was clearly in a context that meant something else in the OP. However, you have put it into a different context. Lowering the tone again eh?

I didn't know that "vagina" was unsayable; it seemed to me it was one of the always acceptable terms. I learn something every day - now I have no idea, as I use the proper, formal language, which is the medical term, and all slang or informal terms of any kind are potentially unacceptable to someone, so now I think there is no word at all available if the proper one is also unacceptable.

I don't see how the tone is highered, lowered, moved sideways, backwards or anything else by the use of a word. There are also no words that, in themselves, are "rude" and that idea, which some or many people teach children, is another idea in our society that is an unsubstantiated opinion and should be banished forever. A word is only "rude" if it is used in a context that is disrespectful towards anyone. Slamming a door into my face is rude*, not saying a word.

As far as I am concerned, people can use any term they want to for that if it's in my home and with just me or just me and my close family. I don't have any objections to them as such and there is one in particular that I prefer and, yes, it is one that some people "hate" the most. Personally I "hate" terrorism, murder and rape, but some people say they "hate" words and seem to me to have their priorities completely wrong - and hate is a very strong word. If you "hate" a word, then what have you got left to describe things that are really bad, such as murder or child abuse? Merely "hate them a lot"? It's no good, the word "hate" has been devalued by applying it to something that is not to be hated: I would only ever go to saying mere "dislike", rather than "hate", but then you now I am pedantic over individual words, if something just made me uncomfortable (like words in certain situations as a result of society's useless created taboos). As a man, I am forced, in a sexist way, to use the opinions of a woman to defend my one of my favourite words as I am not allowed to be seen to like that word, without other people's opinions of me becoming substantially more negative due to their own irrational dislike of certain words.

I therefore have to rely on one woman posting on the internet elsewhere and saying that it is her favourite word for her private parts and that she uses it in her home precisely because she wants to get back at society for it. As a woman likes this word and it's her favourite, I therefore, as a man, can't be viewed as any less. If I can then it merely shows up the sexist approach of the person that views me less favourably for liking what they greatly dislike (or even "hate") and I view that sexism as rationally offensive to me (fortunately not emotional, as I don't get physically bothered by it).

However, if some of the words are said at work in front of others not known to be okay or are said to me when in front of the supermarket checkout person, that might make me uncomfortable and, in that situation, they might be "rude".

Of course I want far more swearing on the forum; however my own wishes will be denied as that is not allowed. I love it - it annoys other people (and also myself at other times/occasions) and gets up their noses, so it must therefore be something very good and there to enjoy. It allows me to be mischievous, without actually breaking any rule:D.
