Actually, I've been out much of Saturday night and stopped at A on the way there and another A on the way back, which together nearly paid for the cost - only two receipts (of those which I could get a comparison) on which they were more than 10% cheaper. (Who leaves their receipt from 21st June - which, it turns out, they clearly haven't checked before but left unclaimed? No way of 'rescuing' such a receipt therefore - more than 28 days message:(.) The rest, some small voucher offers (some or all of which I will take up when I make the claims later - I generally do that immediately before my shops now, as and when needed, so that I can have up to at least 4 months or more to use any vouchers if necessary, that haven't even been generated yet, and not have to remember to use any by a certain date) but a few good offers, including one for £5.70-something and the other for around £4.40, so quite good. And I didn't even buy anything at A these times:rotfl:.
I have all the receipts in a file, together with transaction numbers and the voucher value each receipt has, so that I can match these up to the value of whatever my shop is when I come to do them. (This system would fail, slightly, if there were two transaction numbers exactly the same number (among receipts I have not yet used). However, I have yet to have two exactly the same, of the thousands of transaction numbers available - shows what my chances of winning a lottery that only used four numbers each between 0 and 9 inclusive only would be:rotfl: - in other words, even that, just four numbers, all 0-9, not even as much as 40s or 50s or anything - my chances of winning, of matching one set of four numbers to another are... none:rotfl:!)
See you later:D:wave:.0 -

About the only things I have left to do with the M list from last collection day is to cross out the M&M's and other sweets pouches, and the McVitie's Hobnob Bars, and to say that Poundstretcher is a lot cheaper. For those few people(?) that will even be able to find the cheap products in Poundstretcher - the M&M's pouch, apparently, is an Easter-themed pouch:huh: that is on their website, last time I checked it about a week ago, and, allegedly, available somewhere. I have removed Shreddies (415g:() from the M list - vs £1 M:rotfl:. Think there may be a general move towards a downsized box as only Poundstretcher and Iceland, allegedly, have 500g now? I did manage to find Shreddies 500g (Nestle Original Shreddies) in Poundstretcher, and also Shredded Wheat 12, each at 50p. That may be a store-specific thing though, as the Shreddies are claiming to be £1 online on Poundstretcher's site and 'downside' is that the ones in my store (both products) are BB end December 2017.
A small downside indeed as all of them will be used up well before then. Indeed, I would probably really need to buy 13 or 14 boxes of 12-pack Shredded Wheat (a number of boxes my store didn't have available!) to last as long as that, as they eat 3, sometimes 6, a day. In fact, add myself on top, consuming 3 as well, and I need at least 26 boxes:eek::rotfl:, if not twice as many as that, to get us through just 6 weeks. We eat the Shredded Wheats that quick:eek:!
The price may be a store-specific due to the date on the stock I have (although it's still several weeks left), although there's no indication in my store that it is store-specific as it just has the 50p price labels on the shelf underneath the relevant product stock and doesn't say reduced or anything like that. However, the price on the Shreddies does not match online, so I suspect it may be specific to stores that, like mine, have relatively short date (although still not short short) and the 12 pack Shredded Wheat (that may be beaten by whoopsied packs on RTC shelves in supermarket stores that I haven't had recently, but which works out cheaper than the Wheat Shreds at 89p from Aldi) is of course not online and works out cheaper than the 16 pack at £1:eek: that they have online as that is presumably generally available to nearly everyone that has a Poundstretcher (in other words, 16 pack is probably available in nearly every store, whilst the 12 pack, not online, is in fewer places perhaps, including my store).
16 pack at £1 is expensive:eek: - why pay that for 16 when I have the same cost for 24 (12 pack box x2) available to me? Even if the 12 packs are lower weight than the 500g Shreddies at same price for me, but the number is more what matters than the weight.
I went to look for the 49p Golden Wonder Salt & Vinegar 6 pack crisps in Home Bargains, but came away with 2Kg bags of potatoes for 59p instead:rotfl:. Apparently, the potatoes were around at 55p three and a half years or so ago according to HUKD - they are back, in whichever HB stores, including mine, now have them although a few pence more than those years ago now. As for the crisps, I found other flavours in stock, with their price labels, that are higher price than 49p. The Salt & Vinegar - I did find an offer label with their price on but no stock of those: so, I came away, absent any crisps but, in my overzealous effort to save money, I only took a limited amount of money with me in the first place, so wouldn't have been able to be over-tempted by anything in any store I visited in the town during this trip, due to not having enough money to buy anything more. I therefore couldn't have had the crisps even if I had found them as my money would have already gone on the potatoes - I would have had to buy fewer bags of those or had to choose between one or the other of the potatoes bags and the crisps.0 -
