Why does no one go from Haymarket to Edinburgh?

    Hi

Stunning shine shampoo & conditioner came back as N/A against Tesco now aswell as M. Hth xx

Such a dicey comp. the comp. vs T now:(:rotfl::(.

The M list is now, and has been for several hours, I won't say it is complete as it is never complete, and I won't say it is "finished" either as - the words of the English language again - saying it is "finished" is ambiguous and could mean that it is completely over and that I'm never going to do it again ever, so I will say that the list is now updated to include - not even the prices the last time I was in M since I visited an M today as someone needed their bread again - the information I got on Wednesday. Basically, that's a very long-winded way (that only I can do/am allowed to do:D) of saying that I've updated the list. But then that could mean I've just updated one item:rotfl: - you know what I mean though, the gist, Savvy, the gist!:rotfl::cool:

It's done basically, and I've even migrated some items from the ages-old list, that huge one that ended up with early this year on part one of these threads, that, even though I don't have them in my stores:(, undoubtedly - such as the pound shop I don't have - will very probably be constantly what they were back then. I've got some items from online and I've used my judgement as to some of what is likely still to exist at the same regular prices as before.

I'm aware that the big boxes of Carlsberg are showing £10 down from £12 in M today (and possibly also showing £12 in M today, in another store that I didn't visit that hasn't yet changed its SEL:rotfl:). Anyway, they were showing £10 for me today, having lost their 2 for £20 mbuy in my stores and been straight £12 on Wednesday - possibly gone from straight £10 in Scotland to £12 on Wednesday and now back to £10 again? - but I am remaining on straight £12 and keeping this absent from my list as the price on Wednesday is £12. That won't be in the APG if that is the price the collectors generally got on Wednesday and will only be picked up nearly into mid-week next week if it remains at least half showing £10 on Monday (if half all show a same higher price) or the most common price (if they have a variety of different prices). Complicated - basically if their stores commonly have £10 showing:rotfl:, although that's not strictly accurate (because they don't have to have it commonly showing, in other words more than half, but could have it lowest price but equal in number to a higher price showing - some stores could be no trace so could get £10 that way, anyway...).

Basically, I think Carlsberg vs £10 M isn't going to work as M was not £10 on price collection day but was £12 - and may work after Monday's collection comes in if M remains at £10 into Monday or if APG stores at least half that have trace on SELs continue to show £10 on Monday regardless of what the actual price is.

Summary:rotfl: - I am aware it's £10 in M today but won't be having this on my list as it is based on price collection day Wednesday, when the product was £12 so that's what we have! There - wasn't too difficult!:D:(:rotfl::rotfl:

I think there's no need to buy 6 Nivea Q10 - can buy 3 in a shop (although people have been getting 6) as M is straight £2? Unless there's anything with CB that says that 6 have to be bought in order to make the money there.

If it is confusing, my M list, for once, might help - look at the Beauty & Health section and each item shows how many need to be bought in total in front of it (can be mixed and matched with other items of same individual price in A to make up the number, as long as you hit any relevant M mbuy prices for some items if items are not straight price in M). The Beauty & Health section of Avs M has everything there - the 3 for 2 items can be identified by either having "3x" or "6x" in front of them. The M list assumes that, with each item, you stick to the one item and don't include any other versions or mixes and matches with other products, so that's how its numbers are shown; however of course you often don't have to do that. HTH.

I think my numbers are correct, unless I am misunderstanding something? This has me doubting myself now:rotfl: - I often don't have full track of what's still on 3 for 2 in A as I have no knowledge of what prices in A overall are, as I'm not checking systematically instore in A (tbh, I often don't care what the A prices are as, with the APG, it's the competitor prices that are more relevant on simple 10% items - obviously, for glitches, the A price does matter - but, really, when I'm buying "normal" items in A, I don't care how expensive or what A's prices actually are as I'm looking at 10% off competitor price - I tend to remember the competitor prices as A's prices, which I don't end up with, on the items I buy can be ridiculous, and its the competitor prices that determine the net price I will actually obtain the items for - basically that's why I tend to be out of touch with A's prices). On the 3 for 2 items, I've no continual knowledge of or ability to track easily what items are on 3 for 2 as I rely on online information for A (sitting here at home, and not based in a store) and the fact they are on 3 for 2 is the very thing that isn't showing.

If I start shopping at T, that's when I will start to know again what A's prices are:rotfl:. Until then, when I shop at A, T is often way cheaper, except when I go to T and then A turns out to be really cheap:rotfl::rotfl:. Always shopping at the right store, the most expensive one that turns out to be the cheapest when compared against a competitor that is, hopefully, the notionally cheapest on everything I buy in the shop! Not doing what most people in the wider world do - which is shop, wrongly, at the store that appears to be the cheaper store on the prices that it advertises but which works out more expensive:rotfl:.
