    Afternoon Elite :)

I have just been trying to educate myself on maternity pay and salary sacrifice schemes (childcare vouchers specifically) and it's left me feeling very frustrated. Why do they have to make these things so complicated?!

Believe me, as an employer they are a PITA too, such an overhead to deal with.

The Christmas Yankee Candles in Ts scan at £4 - I gave the one lonely box I found in the Pop section to a friend who 'loves' candles :o

I am wondering if it is because I put not quite me details into the search engines so as not to muck up any future quidco.tcb if I go direct and they are doing some sort of generic id check against the CRAs?
Mystery solved, real details and price falls to 235 inc cashback :) Phew!
    I think....

How much data do you need ?

If you only need a little data, go for the Three free SIM, with 200MB free every month:

    https://www.three.co.uk/Free_SIM_MBB/Order

I picked up the Three MiFi unit from Currys last week, and cancelled the contract so no charge :) Just using the free SIM in the link for now to try it out.

Hmm - I wonder if they did a credit search - I normally restrict credit searches to 4 evenly spread over the year and look for at least £100 value in whatever offer I am taking up (stoozing credit card, bank account switch etc). Something to bear in mind?

I already claim but there’s something about getting reduced maternity pay to the amount of the salary sacrifice - Maybe I might be able to cancel them for the relevant 2 months and then reinstate them, but I’m skeptical that they’d let you do that without throwing down a few hurdles

WE have sal sac vouchers as the kids drama school excepts them. The company didn't do them but I found a provider that pretty much does everything in return for a cut of the employers NI saving. Basically my gross pay is reduced by the amount of the vouchers and so I save the tax and NI. Everything is electronic, the employer and childcare provider deals with the voucher company and I don't do anything.

That sounds interesting, I might see if dh can get something similar- thanks

No, but I did manage to pick up a Masterclass 12 hole bun tin, with 5 year not stick guarantee and 20 years general guarantee for £5.99, been after a decent one :D

Hi well I don t know really it’s for my mifi which I use when out and about . I don’t watch films with it it’s mainly to get Wi-fi for o2 but sometimes I forget to switch it off so would it still use up the data ?
