I called in at an Asda I don’t normally visit today while on taxi duty.
No single onions of any description:eek:
What on earth is the world coming to:eek:
And all the 5 for £1 sweets correctly priced:o
It’ll be the last time I visit that store:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the food thing
I feel much better about it, knowing that it's not just me.
Might be an easy way to diet - fill up the fridge so you don't feel like eating any of it.
I've decided to keep a little food diary of my actual seasonal consumption. That will be next year's shopping list for Xmas/New Year.
The change from the budget can then be spent on items for the foodbank.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
DM, are you here? I’ve got a bottle of Baileys unopened dated 2014  will it be ok to drink or not, what do you think please?
How I didn’t notice before now I don’t know, mind you I never think to check dates on drinks, the one I’ve got open was out of date 4 months ago and tastes fine :rotfl: :rotfl:
I’ll pop back later, have some tidying to do and laptop to retrieve
Go for it..I'm on a bottle I opened last Xmas!TrulyMadly wrote: »I think I might have inadvertently started the debate on the length of the thread by commenting last night that most of Sal’s recent posts were lost.
I feel happy with the status quo but feel that we should look at it from another angle....why does the system allow a few people to expire a thread? It shouldn’t be possible
LEJC, I will message Marigold in the New Year and take her advice on fund raising in Sal’s memory:A .
I will report back:)
I hope people don’t stay away from the thread....I understand you need space LEJC but I hope you return soon:)
And redfox......I know Christmas is a hard time for you too.....but your calm, measured approach has been a godsend in recent years.
Let’s have no MIA:D
Ditto, hope to see you back soon, LEJC, all the best x"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Very sad to hear the news that there is now another Elite angel. R.I.P SavvySal
Been quiet. Dgd is doing very well but her mother is struggling to keep food down still. Apparently she is very sick again. Seems to be fine if just on drip and water but this is second time they have reintroduced other liquids that have made her sick. I did hope they would be home for the weekend but not looking likely now. Luckily ds is on shutdown til 2nd Jan then can take his 2 weeks paternity leave so no pressure to get home.

For Christmas, apart from other things, I was given 5 boxes of Ferrero Rocher, as well as two large and one small box of Raffaello, didn't start either till I had put most of them out of sight !
Will not be buying chocolate in the sales :rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
