Roll on Christmas 2018 when we are one huge family Christmas & Birthdays in the new house

Interesting train journey back tomorrow as our train to Wales isn't running from Birmingham. So have to get to Wolverhampton to meet it .... no stress

Called in at A, large tubes Smarties now 50p, Bendicks 1.25, Jelly babies and wine gums (large cartons) £1, Liquorice Allsorts (large cartons) 50p, Galaxy and Malteser selection boxes 1.25, Cadbury £1, Cadbury small (the flimsy bag) 50p, Xmas cards 25p/50p/1.50, very limited selection of gift sets and they've been put all over, some were even up by the freezers???

And a veritable mountain of bags of sprouts 10p.

I got strawberries, 60p

Oh and fridges are full of half price turkey crowns.

Morning all - looks like a Summer's day out there today - no doubt it won't feel like it when I step outside.

Really feel like going for nice walk but have DD and my new SIL coming over for dinner. So confined to kitchen and maybe quick trip to T''s for a couple of bits.

Hope you all have a good day and manage to find a few bargains if you are heading out to sales.

Good morning. Happy Boxing day. Been to sales and came back with very little. Asda were reducing gift sets to 75% off, but thought that was a little expensive:rotfl::rotfl:Last year would have stocked up. Got a few boxes of chocs for pressies as loads of date on them - Black Magic £1.50, big Milk Tray £3. Sainsury's were reducing all turkeys to 75% off. Same with their decs - got some nice luxury cards and a decoration for DD for next Xmas. Was tempted with the turkey crown but walked away as no room in freezer.
Managed my family cards for half price - that is what I went for. Came home and had spent less than £25, of which £11 was wombles, £6 gift card and only £6 was actual cash. Happy with that.

Curlgirl lol thought it so funny that your MIL gave you back your gift...it must have been hard to hide the look on your face or did you give her a strange smile or chuckle leaving her wondering at your reaction?

i'v only just come back to the board the past few months and im trying and sort of a getting to understand the ways again...slowly though!

Thanks to 3dogs and the posting of shops from peeps as without them I would have had a very challenging time trying to work them out.
