Fab thanks. I'll have a search back

The Elderflower gin I posted a few days ago is still £15 on Amazon - it looks like a wine bottle :D

I also think I found something in Waitrose on mysupermarket on Monday

But also my Aldi finally had the fancy gins in - the pink one and the floral one at least for £20 but as I have got bottles for both girls already I resisted. Aldis loss - if they had been there in November I would have got them.

    Good morning all....

I have a free day today I think...I was supposed to be collecting some presents but I think I'm going to get a text to delay it.....

It seems as if we are in the lull before the storm...most things are done with the exception of things like veg and the stuff that will be fresh so I can't get that till saturday and in the meantime it's just waiting.

Am I the only one who doesn't get the whole Gin thing...we've tried it several times over the years and each time never got to the bottom of the first glass....and in several cases not beyond the first sip!

We are however munching chocolate like it's going out of fashion and the 2 tubs are almost empty so may need replacing.

Hoping that everyone's day is stress free....

I don't get the whole gin thing either, but then I don't get the whole alcohol thing either! It put me off for life when my parents were very pleased with themselves for managing to cook Christmas dinner whilst drunk (they tended to be drunk by 10 on Christmas day :( ), the problem was they didn't, it was me, and my brothers refused flatly to help.

As for chocolate, I overbought on the Thorntons so we have a box in the store room, and I have won a box of Lily O'briens on the advent too, that is more than enough for us!

This is the first full day I have had to do what I want for a good couple of weeks, so I am off on a bike ride :D
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

I think our gin obsession I think started with our offspring and only over the last few years - they also have a thing about cocktails and fizzy wine :D

But mostly its more mouth than action - we do a lot more talking about gin, researching gin, looking at gin bottles, reading up on the disterilies, checking gin prices etc than actually drinking it.

When we do actually get visitors here we firstly ask or they ask for, if they want soft drinks - this year its bottlegreen, schloer, cordial or nic kix or a beer or cider - blind pig, guiness or IPA or the no-alchol stuff. There are also plenty of Happy Downs
Only when we are actually eating will the wine come out.
And then maybe gin after dinner.
But OH drinks very little now, mostly he says it disagrees with his meds and anyway he seems to be always either at work or on-call or both.

I wondered too about the recent Gin obsession on here lol. But I did read somewhere it helps to speed up the metabolism, so helps you lose weight.
Er where's the best cheapest place to get some Gin. Might join in :rotfl:
Also, to the Gin searchers, if you put gin in the "search this thread only" bit, you get all the gin related posts.
    hth :)

    Morning all

Just checked my amazon to see how far along my order from yesterday was. Amazon now give you a map of where the delivery van is but as a sleigh rather than a white van :D

Apparently he is on the A500 but going in the wrong direction, heading towards Stoke rather than going towards me :D
The Santa-nav must be not working :rotfl:

now the cocktails and fizzy wine I get.....

We do seem to have quite a bit of fizz...just about one box of twine white mysteries,a crate of bud and some assorted lagers and ciders and that's it for this year!

Thankfully my OH has been on call last week and this so it will leave christmas and new year totally free of work...there's nothing like being woken at 2 in the morning by a call out...and then again at 4!

although DS did mention creme de banana the other day.....apparently good in cocktails (a june bug)....but I can only seem to get it online at amazon or somewhere called the drinks supermarket....I think he will have to do with the bottle of midori we have instead ...melon is much more healthy than banana IMO!
