A little bit late to the party here and not really followed the S conversation too closely....

but a word of warning regarding returns to S now....they have changed their tills and upgraded them to read the barcode on your receipt...and are able to recall the transaction easily.....I took something back the other day and they could easily see I paid part coupon, part cash, part card....and then deducted the bonus coupon I had received as part of the purchase.

food for though if you are planning on returning items in the future.

thanks for this - very annoying.
I wonder what happens if you have used a catalina till spit eg buy £20 of badly fitting Tu and get an 8p fuel till spit - these usually scan at 1p on your receipt.

I have, in the past brought something for a return but in exchange for something else instead and I might have done this a few times to end up with a clean receipt.

At the moment I have my gorgeous new jacket and a dress both bought when the 25% weekend was on and a bra - having a dither as they were all bought within the last 28 days.
In theory I could get double up vouchers and at least buy the jacket and dress again, then do a return via the older receipt ....

it's also going to be interesting to see how they handle those conditional spend petrol coupons if you have to return something.

Especially if you have already used it. Are they going to be furnished with syphons at CS now? :rotfl:

oo I was just wondering about this - especially as you have a month to do a return - I wonder if the system would be clever enough to know how much the fuel voucher saved

I can confirm that often the clothing i buy to get a petrol coupon turns out not to fit?! The coupon shows up as a 1p coupon and I have never had CS spot or comment on it

then they should give you the bonus coupon back to spend again or give you another because in not doing so they have left you in a worse position than you were before.

I had this happen in Waitrose once and they tried the same until I pointed out to them that they needed to give me the voucher back (or another similar one) so I could use it again otherwise I had been left disadvantaged through no fault of my own. (It was a faulty item)

They capitulated without argument because they knew that I was right.

I get the sentiment Redfox and will bear it in mind if there is a next time....

but the thing I took back was something that had split packaging that I hadn't realised until got home was the last on the shelf,a food item and attracted a bonus of 20 points if I purchased it....so no biggie really ....but if that sort of thing follows through then it is possible that misfitting items of clothing that were bought to take advantage of a till spit for extra points could also have the e points deducted if returned....I know previously the till was unable to pick up this type of transaction.

We have a brand new mobile commode standing in my sitting room, cat rather likes the bowl to sit in... :rotfl::rotfl:

oh my goodness me Snap....thats just reminded me ....does it have a plastic bowl or the "egg box type" cardboard inserts....?

I remember one year my mum was in hospital with a mobile commode and the kids needed easter hats making....we borrowed a couple of the new inserts and make fabulous yellow chicken hats with them as they were just the right shape and fit!!

well yesterdays shops netted a £3 Marks vouchers :j

I don't think you can physically do anything wrong, it's just the luck of the draw I guess, we are getting quite good luck. The OH didn't win anything yesterday but got the coke this morning.
I've not won any Coke but have so many £3 Gregg vouchers it's becoming a joke.
Two days this week I've won 3 out of 4 opened envelopes, you can always tell when it's going to be a winner as it delays opening, when it's a prize entry it opens pretty fast.

It's great for public transport in London as you can touch in and out multiple times and only pay for the single journey, I've worked out to one of my Asda's it's 4 envelopes to get there and 4 on the way back. Plus 2 taps in store.

That gives me the 10 a day allowance, and the cost of my trip on TFL is £3. So I make that back on one voucher.

Another thing to note for all those on public transport using this app. If you get a ticket inspector they also generate an envelope by checking your fare.. so if you see one on the train or bus, ask them "can you check i tapped incorrectly please".. and you'll get another chance to win a prize ;)

Debating if I've time to run out to asda today as I've a 3pm conference call.. I'm not sure what is becoming more fun, the APG 342 glitch or the fact I end up winning on average £9 - £12 of vouchers from android pay :)

Now I am wondering if I go to Marks and buy

    2 meal deals
    3 for £10 meat
    total £30

use my Marks sparks card which will take £5 off
use the androd pay card code - will that also take another £3 off

    would this work?
    Has anyone tried it?

I've got to collect a Marks order in the morning if no one else has been between now and then.

The meal deal is not very exciting this week but there was a glitching wine someone mentioned - have to venture to the darkside to see which one and if it still works ...
