front door advice

I'm after some advice for a new front door. Am thinking of a nice fairly brightly coloured composite door, which seems to be the default choice these days, but just thought I'd run it past people here with a pic of the house - not really any period features to work with unfortunately!

I'd recommend you look for a door that meets parts E and L of the building regulations.
Its quite difficult to find a traditional door that meets these, so a composite door is your best bet.
Try to pick a well established manufacturer. Some will even sell direct, and find a local joiner/builder to install it.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -

On their site, you can 'build' your door and download it, onto a picture of your house, to see how it looks.
Not sure how good their product is, as there is currently a thread running, complaining about warping.
