    The banks shouldn`t have been pushing I.O BTL, but neither should the landlord have been leveraging their portfolio up like this. This type of landlord is the type the government probably wants to force out of the game?

    Housing Associations have to do gas safety checks every year. Also before a new tenant comes in they have to check and update electrical fittings and so on in the house. There are strict rules that they have to follow, probably more strict than private tenancies.
