Optimum appear to be quite a flaky outfit Gerry, I would suggest that you try Loot instead, also avoiding all those fees and having more useful features:

You can access your account via their website if you don't use a smartphone. You might be able to unload your optimum card by using it to top-up Loot, if you are ever able to see how much you have remaining. (I unloaded my optimum that way to Revolut, before binning it.)Evolution, not revolution0 -
