Hi,
My daughter had her home assessment 2 weeks ago. I was told just over 1 week ago that her file was chosen for audit. whilst i realise that this is nothing to worry about BUT i rang the assessment providers today to ask if it was back only to be told that it came back from audit on the 2nd November, was sent back to the HCP and then sent back to audit. Why would this happen does anyone know please? My knowledge for PIP is quite good but never known this happen before. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Hi Poppy,
maybe its more to do with the assessor...if they are new all their reports are audited until they hit target. Or experienced HCP can be put on audit for a fixed period if there are queries about their reports.....

Probably there is an area of conflict....for example, the assessor saying something could be done in one activity, and then down the line no it couldn't be done in another activity.....and the HCP has to clarify which one is it...yes they can/no they can't. On audit they would have to justify their decision.
The report goes back and forth until "audit standard" is reached.
