that sounds a little more than just a few posters pressing something in error.

Redfox ...is there any indication of how many times the spam button needs to be hit to trigger a deletion of the whole thread?

It just doesnt bode well going forward if things can be so easily removed by perhaps a certain number of clicks....

Who needs disharmony and angry words when you can cause far more disruption with repeated use of the spam button

27000 plus posts is a lot to lose without the forum team being able to tell if it was deliberatley targeted or not in a short space of time this morning.

How many times does the spam button have to be pressed and what has been spammed in particular, can't think of any such posts recently?

Will be going out soon, but have whole of page 1 from yesterday, if any use.

That is known only to the MSE staff, and they can - and do - adjust the number of clicks required depending on the level of spam the forum is experiencing. So I have no idea how many it is set at at the moment, sorry.

Its inevitable that the spam button will be hit when using mobile devices and in error - I have done it myself. Question is if you un spam it does it still count as click? Also with our thread allowed to run and run we are obviously going to hit that number at some point.
