    Yes, I do indeed have a lack of understanding, in that I can't make head or tail of what you're trying to say in that last post, which doesn't seem to bear any similarity or relevance to what went before it (from either of us), are you perhaps under an illusion that you're presenting a coherent argument?

    Anyway, perhaps it would be worth trying another analogy to help you understand - this is essentially similar to banks signing up to the Current Account Switching Service, in that by doing so they have to have tried and tested standardised processes and systems in place to exchange data with other institutions, but nothing actually happens until a customer explicitly issues authority to proceed....
