Housing Benefit self employed earnings disregards

I receive a disregard of £37.10 on my self-employed earnings for HB purposes at present. I understand this is broken down into two components: £20 and £17.10.
I am wondering if anyone can explain what triggers the two components, especially the £17.10.
I get PIP at the Enhcanced Rate and thus Severe Disability Premium for HB and Tax Credit purposes.
I work 30 hours per week and would like to know if I would still get a 337.10 disregard if I cut my hours to 16 per week, as I am contemplating.
So my question is really: do I get the extra £17.10 weekly disregard off the back of disability, or because of the number of hours being 30, as opposed to 16.

The £20 is taken off your wages because you are a diabled worker otherwise it would be £5
The £17.50 is an additional earnings disegard because you work 30 hours - you would lose this if you cut hours down to 16

Thanks, very useful indeed. The language in the patas you cite is a bit vague.
It talks about "additional earnings disregard" but mentions no figures, so it seems to me unclear from the text whether the additional bit applies from getting from £5>£20 for being disabled, or the extra £17.10.
But you seem pretty definite in your above post.
"Additional earnings disregard (formerly known as 30 hour earnings"
disregard)
W2.135 The additional earnings disregard in HB/CTB can be applied if the claimant, or their partner
• is working for 16 or more hours per week
• would be, or are entitled to, WTC, and
• fall within one of the categories of people listed below
W2.136 The following people can have the additional earnings disregard applied to their earnings
• lone parents
• couples with children
• disabled people*
• certain people aged 50 or over*
* If the claimant is part of a couple, the person who is disabled/over 50 must be the person
working 16 or more hours per week.0 -
The 1st link - £5 to £25 is no matter what - you get it taken off if you work.
The 2nd link is for the explanation for the additional earnings of £17.10 (sorry I put 17.50) as the 1st link doesn't explain - this is extra and certain conditions need to be in place before it can be given“You’re only here for a short visit.
Don’t hurry, don't worry and be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”Walter Hagen

Thanks for the clarification.
My reading is that the HB manual in the second link is a bit vague and it sounds like disability can get you the £17.10.
That's just my take though and you sound like you have a lot of expereeince here. Either way, I am going to get my local council to clarify before I cut my hours - which may be in April when the new tax year starts.0
