Helping a friend

Hi.
Helping a friend.
I won't go into to much detail but a friend is going through a messy situation with an ex.
We think the other person may have done a PPI claim on their joint accounts and not informed them they were entitled to half of any payout.
So I have said to my friend to do their own one and see if they come back saying one has been done.
They had various loans, cards etc years ago now with the old Abbey National which I believe now comes under Santander.
I have been asked to help as I indeed had my own successful claim through Lloyds a few years ago now.
My one was pretty straightforward in the end so wasn't too much hassle doing it.
I am though after some advice on what paperwork I need to get my friend to sign to give me permission to do the claim.
Can you guys help please.

If not, just write a complaint letter and get your friend to sign it.

I wasn't aware these complaint letters could be done.
When I did mine, I got them to send me all my paperwork from years gone by first so I could check for myself what was on there prior to putting in a claim.0 -
So why do you need a Letter Of Authority? Why do you think you need to complain on behalf of your friend?Why would I charge a friend a fee?.
Just help him/her compose a compelling complaint and then let the Bank deal with it.
