Even allowing for the holiday weekend, I would have thought that everything would be back to normal by the Tuesday evening.

A couple of days ago I booked with Alamo/Brits
a. intermediate SUV for 9 days starting 12 December this year at a cost of £205 to go from Orlando to Miami and then;
b. full size saloon for 2/3 January for £48 to drive round Miami
Prices seem quite reasonable to me.0 -
Whenever I go to the US, I use the Alamo trade website (it's for travel industry staff) and I've just had a quick look and the prices for a full sized car for the end of November are about what I would normally expect and there isn't any massive increase compared to other sized vehicles.
There may well just be a pricing problem with the Alamo system at the moment.0 -

I posted earlier that it’s been that way for a while probably about 6 months. I have been checking every other day for about that long and they have been consistently much more expensive, when normally Alamo brits is the cheapest0 -
Checked Alamo again this morning as i am going next week, was £223.02 for a standard Car
Then looked on Groupon and clicked the link on Avis car hire, got a standard Car for £142.80 a bit more like it0
