as usual the staff buy most of them to flog on. Forget the Cardiff and Caerphilly stores, Wayne bought most of em.:mad:Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
Primum non noce!0 -
If you look on ebay - you will see loads. Some people are selling the parts individually and making a killing, bearing in mind what was paid at B&Q -0

It is a sad fact, and more anoying to think that as I posted the deal, I could have helped them.
I just wish for the 1st week of clearance they would limit the amount you can purchase, then make it a free-for-all after that.
At least then 'normal' folk like us get a chance of getting something.
Perhaps i'll send them an email on their non-appliance to 'Equal Opportunities'0 -

Why the mad smiley ?
Not that it's any business of yours but I bought ONE alarm system and ONE set of extra detectors to give me 8 in total ,4 PIR's and 4 door contacts , 7 of which are now fixed up and in use on my house as one of the TWO cameras will soon be ,the other will be used by my father on his house.
P.s. I'm glad you didn't get one

Whilst I am an eBay seller who does not rush out and buy stuff like this, many do, and why not? If they can make some cash then that's their good fortune to have stumbled upon them. Just because someone has posted it on here does not mean the offer is for the exclusive of all us MSE's. Please get over it!0

No-one has said that!
I believe the retailer is at fault when reducing prices so low, and allowing people to bulk buy.
The effect of this is, folk that could make use of product are unable to get any, and traders that have bulk purchased are in effect taking buisness away from the company that they purchased it from in the 1st place.
To add to the subject, this company have a 3G sale starting tomorrow, though they are stating the radiators cabinets are restricted to 1 per customer!
Why can't they adopt an equal restricted purchase policy of these low priced, high demand products so everyone gets a chance to purchase them?
If you have 100 items for sale on a restricted purchase policy, you will get more people in the door, which gives a higher percentage in making a sale for additional products.
If you sell those 100 items to a few people, a virtualy zero percent chance of an additional sale, plus added customer complaints of no stock available.0 -

I have no problem at all with staff purchasing for themselves. after all they are customers as well. Are they supposed to miss out on a bargain just because they work for the company. (mind you I hope they didny get a massive staff discount on top) I was disappointed to miss the safes but was extremely impressed at getting a call from a very helpful chap at Pontypridd to tell me had found one for me. I have a felling that he will now himself join the growing ranks of MSE'ers.0
