While trying to submit my appeal on POPLA website, I got to the page asking for "Your Details"

It is basically, Your name, your phone number, your email address , and your address.

However, there is a tick box asking if I am appealing on behalf of someone, if I tick "Yes" (I am appealing on behalf of someone else), the page details change to Motorist Name, Motorist phone number, Motorist email and Motorist address.

Should I tickYes and complete page with motorist details or leave box as "No" and complete under your name, email address etc. Am I right in assuming Motorist details = Drivers details?

I have read a few threads and note I could wrongly be identifying the driver by the option I choose.

Apologies if it appears a silly question, I just want to make sure I do it right.

No, you are not appealing on behalf of anyone. Put your name & address in and zeros for the phone no.

When I appeal for people who ask me to do so for them, I put their name in under Motorist, and that is in fact the keeper and POPLA will not assume that's the driver. It's OK.

And only click 'OTHER' as your choice of appeal reason, to upload the PDF appeal.

Keith, the POPLA heading does call the named person the 'Motorist' and there is no way around it. Norty of POPLA/the BPA to do it. But it's OK to fill in.

I submitted my appeal to POPLA yesterday and got the following message this morning.

[FONT=&quot] APCOA Parking have told us they do not wish to contest the Appeal. This means that your Appeal is successful and you do not need to pay the parking charge.[/FONT]

To those skeptical about going through the appea process, please do your research and follow the pieces of advice from this forum. You have nothing to lose!

That sounds suspiciously quick, almost like POPLA have standing instructions from APCOA that they wont contest certain cases, all very strange.
