Faulty TV - already repaired once, broken again

Im just after a bit of advice before I go back to Currys.
We've got a 60" Samsung TV, it's almost 4 years old.
After we had had it almost a year a green line appeared down the side of the screen so we contacted Currys who took it away and replaced the screen.
In almost the same place we have a green line, red line & another green line so whatever the problem was has recurred but worse.
I know I have rights up to 6 years but what are they? And are they affected by the previous repair?
If I'm honest I'd prefer they exchanged the TV. There's clearly an underlying issue with this one and if it lasts another 2 years on a repair and breaks I'm stuck with a broken TV.
Thanks for any advice you can offer me.

Why not speak to Currys and explain whats happened, they may do an exchange, it is on the boards somewhere about what your rights are.
This is what I was after.

The sale of goods act 1979 is what you need as its 4 years old.0 -
That's not going to happen, at best they might repair it again or worse they'll offer a reduced refund taking into account the 4 years of usage you've had. Either way the onus is now on you to prove the fault is inherent to manufacture so they'll probably want you to pay up front for a engineer's report to be done, or you can commission one yourself.Im just after a bit of advice before I go back to Currys.

As above, SOGA forms the basis for your consumer rights in this regard.0 -
One thing to consider is how well it’s lasted for the price paid. A 60” TV for -£600 four years would be a reasonable life expectancy, but a 60” for £3000 should last a lot longer.
Basically even if a fault is proven, and it’s found that it hasn’t lasted a reasonable length of time, most places will repair first, if due to the age the parts are no longer available or it’s not economical for them to repair you will have almost no chance of an exchange after this length of time. The best you can hope for is a partial refund, this is where the price paid comes into it because a sub £600 four year old 60” I would expect to be worth at most £50, maybe £0. A £3000 four year old 60” would probably be worth around £1000-£1500.0 -
Someone recently posted a very similar on here,tv from Currys,4 years old, gren line, faulty screen.
They paid Currys to check out the tv,thay correctly said maunfacuring fault. They were going to repair it free of charge but landing giving them a full refund after they damaged the tv.
You will be asked to pay £90 up front, but will get this back as it is a manufacturing fault.
My motto in life is if you don't ask,you don't get.0
