As a Church we are registered with the Charities Commission for tax purposes.
Do we by law need to have a membership or can we do away with members?

    It depends what your governing document as submitted to the charity commission says. If it currently says you have members, you'd need to amend it.

    Mind you, doing away with members has unfortunate connotations ...
