Afternoon
I have been potting away, but I can't remember how much.
I hope everyone is well. January is going past quickly, we are nearly half way through.

Sue thanks for the new thread, I wondered what was going on when I couldn’t find the thread on my subscription feed. I got this great reusable glass money tin, it’s got a cork lid that you can pull off (with great effort) in Sainsbury’s sale for £2.00. It’s got life’s great adventures written on it, along with a chalk tag that you can write the year on.
I’ve put my bingo wins of £13.50 in it so far.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -

Sounds like a good tin/item to use, can you see the money growing as you put it in?
This is my new one for this year

It is indeed.
I thought I had joined the virtual SPC, I’ll pop over there now. I’ve done two transfers, so I’ve already started :money:

Yikes!! Thought I'd been kicked off the site when my bookmarked link didn't work!
Potted £6 in £2s this weekend and another £4 in £1s and 50ps in the weekly purse clear-out. Had to catch the bus earlier in the week as my car was in for a service, and had to borrow out of the pot for some change for the fare so just shook out a handful of change (I had notes but I make it a personal principle, as the daughter of a bus driver and conductress to always pay with the right change). Spent £2 on the buses and the rest went back in.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Hi Monitino and welcome to SPC!
Sue, our leader, will allocate you a number ASAP!
We are a friendly bunch, so don’t be shy!
If you’ve not already done so, have a read of the first post as it explains how the SPC works!
It’s fairly straightforward......get a pot, put money in it, wait till 1st November, then open your pot and count your money!!

Trust me, you will get plenty of support here. I’ve been where you are and it’s tough.
This group kept me going through some really dark times, they are a fantastic bunch
My one tiny bit of advice is, don’t worry about the amount you are potting, it’s not a competition because everyone is a winner in the end. We all end up with an amount that is relevant to our own personal circumstances and whatever amount comes out of your pot on the 1st November is money that you otherwise may have frittered away.
Good Luck reducing your debt........small steps can take you a long way!
