    Hi TOBRUK,
I am glad to hear that the MR made a decision in your favour and awarded you high care : thank you for your advice regarding the points which i will challenge if i feel the assessor has not marked me for the points which i feel are appropriate and relevant to me and will follow your advice by doing it in point form. For instance, if the assessor has given me 0 points for everything then i will say why i disagree. Did you add how many points you should have been awarded next to the point category? e.g. 2,4,etc?
I note the assessor didn,t make me walk? which i thought she would although i did have to use the toilet when she was here so she could see how far i can walk with my aid and stop for breath and a rest on way to the toilet from my living room then use my inhalers and then my nebuliser when i sat down again due to being breathless. She didn,t ask how far i could walk either only about where the taxis come for me as they come as far as they can to my house. My consultant stated in his report that i can only walk aided on the flat 10-20 yards which correlates with what i said on the application form. I know this probably won,t make any difference re what the assessor has put in her report and welfare rights told me that the mobility component of PIP is the hardest to get?

PLease note that Tobruk's MR was for DLA which is totally different to PIP. What you stated above if an MR is needed is correct. Hopefully for you this won't be needed and you'll get the award you're happy with. Good luck.

I do understand and appreciate that DLA and PIP are completely different, even more so now that i,ve gone through an assessment for PIP. From what i remember for DLA ,it was a doctor who examined me and the DWP did actually contact my old GP at the time (i,ve since moved house) and he was given a form to tick asking if i could manage certain things and it was a "yes or no" and wasn,t a point based system unlike PIP is nor was i asked so many questions during the medical examination for DLA. The DLA form asked about the Amount of care needed through the daytime and through the night, etc too. Thank you for your kind thoughts and good luck wishes which are very much appreciated. :)
