Is the OP serious???
A rip off? I dont think so0 -
Gotta be a wind up by the OP if he conciders leaving the trolley rather than returning it to a trolley bay then he's the very reason they've introduced this deposit scheme in the first place. There are plenty of 'real' rip offs like parking without spending time on this!:beer:0

Just to add - I carry a euro in my wallet just for use at Morrison's, I'm always finding myself without a £1 coin but of course there's limited opportunity for spending euros in the UK so a euro tends to stick around. Somefield however seem have fixed theirs so a euro doesn't fit... why am I contributing to this thread...?0

Ref. your travel list, I went to Warsaw last weekend and was not over-impressed. The Uprising Museum was superb, the two home-brew bars are excellent, other than that, not particularly stunning.0 -
If you go shopping in France ask for a "jetton" at the supermarket desk.
This metal or plastic disc is FREE kids can collect them for souveniers.0 -
I thought the point of these charges was to encourage people to return their trollies
25c or a free token isn't going to do that
if they want to do it properly they should make people queue at a desk where they hand over their CC details to be allowed to get a trolley. If they don't return it then they have to pay the full cost of a trolley0
