Advice re online gaming

Can anyone advise cheapest device to be able to play online gaming. I have 1 laptop with graphics card and good speed and memory. I've been told around £600+ for something similar.

It doesn't have to be a laptop. I don't really want another PC would a tablet be a good idea? It's for a child

    depends on the games ?

Android OS - not PC games
    Amazon 7" fire tablet - £50 ish
or un-branded 10" tablets also on Amazon for < £100

    Windows tablets
    LINK £80

    Indeed.

I play one called Therian saga which is a silverlight based browser game that is asynchronous. It can be played co-operatively or solo, though you are necessarily on the same server as other people with a world chat etc., and needs very little computer resources but a great deal of patience.

Alternatively, if you wish to play the latest first person shooter with all the graphics on you will need to spend a lot of money on hardware.

    More information required.

A desktop PC allows better posture too, which is particularly important whilst kids are still growing.

What laptop do you currently have?

If you're talking Mincecraft/Roblox then an i3 or A8 is about all you really need. You can get either for around £400 for the decent models

Laptop is a Dell Inspiron notebook 3721 with 4096 MB AND 1600MHZ
It had a 500 GB Hard Drive but I have had a ADATA Ulitimate SU800 256GB added.

I have been told something similar would cost £600.

I haven't really the room for another PC at present. Would a tablet be a better idea?
