Removing yellow stains from toilet rim

Good afternoon.
Can anyone please tell me how to remove the yellow stains from the toilet rim please.
My brothers just bought a house and the toilet looks ok apart from this. Reluctant to use sure will as this will remove the enamel.
I'm guessing some chemical solution is needed but not to sure what to use.
Thank you so much

You can try household agents like baking soda + vinegar. I used this to clear shower drain blockages so I bet it's going to work for the stains as well. Check the instructions from https://www.liquidplumr.com/diy-plumbing-tip/how-baking-soda-and-vinegar-cleans-drains/
Apart from that you can of course use the commercial stain removers like http://amzn.to/2iWLvA9

Is there a build up of scale that has been stained yellow by urine?
Try limescale remover first and see if that removes the stains.
We use Kilrock gel as it stays in place longer than liquids but there are many other alternative products.0 -
Enamel is difficult to remove!!
What have you tried? If it's 'just' yellow it would likely come off with a damp cloth...
Anything marketed for cleaning toilets would work.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0
